Nice cameras-I have two myself which have served me well over the years. Light, pocketable, simple and a quality lens-what's not to like? Apart from prices going up because they're becoming Cult Classics! I was fortunate to get one for £10 which was in excellent condition, despite probably having sat in somebody's attic or garage for years. It still had the original JCII sticker on it. Edinburgh, Summer 2018-I was on my way to see a Rembrandt show at the Scottish National Gallery and just had a bit of a wander (stravaig in Scotland) to see what would turn up.

Nice shot Black Dog...I know what you mean about the 'cult status'. I guess I can't complain as I'm building my little hobby business on the back of it. I figure that as I'm totally rebuilding them, they should be good for another 50 years. Can cults come around twice? Time will tell.

You don't want to read this, but for some purposes this shot is titled "$2.14" because that is what I spent for the Trip 35 camera that took it a few years ago:

I got ya beat. I bought a guy's Oly outfit and he threw in a minty black Trip 35 for free. Cool beans!

Well, the 14 cents was sales tax!

Matt paid $2.14! Just call me Roz.

I paid 15 bucks for my Trip and had to open it to clean the seized aperture blades. A finicky business, specially when you forget to note the focus position...(*facepalm)

Your a brave man, last auto leaf shutter I tried working on didnt end well.
Im actually convinced the little Oly is the work of magic.

Thanks Mr Dog, was just a little too easy. "chiaroscuro" what a great word, I love that style, need to read up.
Ray K Metzker (a student of Harry Callahan would be right up your street (Literally)-check out his 'City Whispers' series from Chicago and of course Harry Callahan himself.
