Worst piece of photography/darkroom equipment

Hey, I like my Monopod. Makes a good walking stick and quick support for my MF and 35mm cameras. My Monopod has a flip out stabalizing thing you step on. Yes it sways but that can be controlled.

It does suck for 1 sec and over exposures, I'll say that about it.

Amen on the cable release. I had one of those that had a one hand feature. You could actuate and lock it with one hand. Needless to say, anything that is intended to be operated and locked with one hand was always locking. #$$%#$@##% Ruined more good time exposures with that bloody one!

When I first started going to school...I bought an old, used Cannon AE1...with mold inside the body and the lens....talk about getting ripped off.

My Canon AV-1 with NO manual mode, just aperture priority and 1/60 flash sync...I miss the ability to easily bracket my shots (If I want to do that I have to change the ISO rating to fool the meter).

my monopod...

...doesn't have ANY stabilisation,other than a wrist strap.
And,to make matters worse,the foot is cut at an angle!

I didn't get one myself, but I have heard that the Nikon N70 camera body was quite a turd...

Years ago, I had an Agfa 120 daylight-loading tank. To this day there is still an Agfa 120 daylight-loading tank shaped hole in the wall opposite the door to my darkroom.

He-he, this kind of equipment definitely has a special reputation - when I asked about my Kodak day-load tank if it needs a special cut of the film end, one guy told me he used this model as a pistol shooting target ) He was satisfied with it, however )

Soviet means the best

That was the official slogan here, friends... and I am glad that most of you just had not had the opportunity to work with Soviet darkroom equipment. You probably won't believe me, but it was a total crap - the two-reeled bakelite tanks that were opening deliberately when poured, non-loading self loading reels, easels leaking light everywhere, drying presses burning prints to ashes (I used one as a room heater once), enlargers weighing 75 kilograms each and unable to give any acceptable print, etc... the film, developers and paper were crap too, especially the colour ones. So you choose any Soviet piece of equipment, and it is a frustrating junk. What is worse, I have to work with some of it even now, because it's tough to get anything good in Moscow
