I just got my new/used - 500CM with and A12 Back and it advances the film too far between exposures and I only get 10 shots per roll - Is this something I can address? Is it in the back? Help?

Sounds like the gearing in the back, has slipped a cog, and needs to be serviced. is the spacing even? and show large gaps between the frames?

Dave

Is there really too much space between frames, or is the space the same as your other? There are different backs with slightly different loading procedures.

Maybe its an RB67 dressed as a Hassy? You know, a Mamiya with identity issues and complexes?

hope you find it funny, if not I apologize for polluting the thread.

Gee, I didn't know you could hang an RB back on a Hassy. How's it done?

Just kidding, sounds like a gear went kaflooey (sorry for the very technical term).

RB back on 'blad = duct tape.
Actually there's a plastic(nylon/resin?) stop in the back that wears over time & needs replacement. So much for the thought that it's all metal in there. Other than the stop it's so over built/understressed as to be almost indestrucible...see Supermagazine.
