Which brand of camera do we use the most?

My Pentax 645 with 75mm f2.8 for about 70%
and a 4x5 Speed Graphic with any number of barrel lenses for the other 30%
(I use a 10" Ektanon and a 8" JML Process lens.. 7" Kodak Anastigmat is another favorite for closer portraits)

My first camera was a Prackica MTL.
Then I got a Canon A1.
Followed by a T90.

I now use one EOS30 and one EOS33. I have a number of lenses, the cheapest and none the worse for it is my 50mm f1.8, the most expensive my 24mmf1.4L

I'd love to get my hands on a Bonica RF645, but the sad truth is before I bag one of those I might just buy a Canon 20D, which if I work it right should actually allow me to spend more time in the darkroom.

This is probably the oldest phoenix thread I have seen...

When the thread started this was all I used.

Now it's :
35mm - Nikon 20%
- Olympus XA 10 %
- Canon QL17 G3 10%
- Other assorted old 35's, folders, (Contaflex, Minolta Himatic 7, Agfa Solinette II, Canonettes, Olympus trip 35, etc 10 %
MF - Mamiya 645 35%
- Yashicamat LM 6x6 TLR 10%
- Other MF (old Ziess folders) 5%

And I really enjoy them all for different reasons.

Talk about a golden-oldie thread! Since inception, my gear has changed a bit. I now shoot:

Olympus E-1 and Minolta A1 about 85% of the time. Hey, I know it's D*gital but I do a lot of industrial/commerical work.
Olympus OM-2S, OM-4, IS-3 about 10% of the time.
Crown Graphic about 5% of the time.

If I'm doing personal work, the analog stuff gets used about 2-3x as much.

After my wife decided she liked the Pentax, I have bought a Bessa-L with 21mm lens - a great little camera, and the 35mm I use the most.

The Zeiss Ikon Ikonta is competing for attention with several more folding MF cameras - from Bessa 6x9 to a 6.5x9cm VAG with rollfilm back.

The Technika 5x7" has gone to a new home, and been replaced by a Gandolfi Traditional 5x7".

The Bergheil has been joined by an AVUS, and my Rodenstock 9x12 plate camera has got a new (coated!) lens which makes it a lot more likely to be used.

Other additions include a very old German(?) plate camera for 18x24cm plates; I'm thinking of building an 8x10" back for it to save some weight over the mahogany plate holders.

Lubitel 166B, Canon AE1.
Used to be a Zenit, but the rewind broke and the viewfinder got weirdly skewed... and I can no longer carry it everywhere, use it as a door stopper, car jack, blunt weapon, can opener in addition to taking pics. now it no longer takes pics and other things are better at being a door stopper, car jack, blunt weapon, can opener etc....

I'm shooting a lot of medium format at the moment so I'm using both of these more or less equally for maybe 75 - 80% of the time.

The rest of the time I'm using:

Fed-4 with Industar-61 L/D

I really like this but the Fuji is seeing more action at the moment. The lens on this is great -- probably the sharpest pics after the Fuji. If i get hold of a portrait length lens like a Jupiter-9 this will probably see more use again.

Chinon CS (m42 SLR) x 2

I have two of these, one usually loaded with colour and one with black and white and a selection of Chinon and other screw mount lenses. I was using this a lot but I'm getting quite into the simplicity of a non-interchangeable lens camera.

I cycle around a fair bit with my camera and just having a single camera with a single lens -- as with the Flexaret or the Fuji - makes for a lighter bag and more fun shooting.

I also have a little Olympus XA-2 which usually lives in my bag with a roll of Fuji Superia 400 in it. As a stand by.

went from pentax k1000 to minolta x700,canon elan2,nikon n80 and f2(still have both of those 2). mamiya c330f and a rolleiflex tessar(whatever anyone says about getting rid of these babies.....just tell shut the hell up and go play w/ your lil d$&*#^%l piece of crap! anyway....i just got a new baby.......a Sinar F1, hence the name..haha! i think i'm pretty much done for awhile w/ buying cameras.....but then.....never say never. i might very well might move up to a 5x7,8x10,or larger. but i'm happy where i'm at for now.

I find that the camera isn't as important as the eye/brain behind it, and to that end I use a Scots-Irish derived model that is a bit the worse for wear but will, by definition, last a lifetime.

Well, the answer to the actual question originally asked is Minolta.

However, the spouse and more than one friend have suggested that I long ago crossed over from user to collector, so there's:

Pentax Spotmatics (the 1st "most used" brand)
Minolta "MC"
Minolta "MD"
Minolta Maxxum
Mamiya C220 (most used professionally, but that was years ago)
Kowa Six
Fuji 645
Horizon

... and assorted other "paperweights" :rolleyes:

For portraits and weddings I shoot with two Nikon N80's... Light, easy to use and the G lenses, although not sturdy, or cheap and also light....

For travel, I reley on my two Canon AE-1's, one is a program....

Zeiss Nettar with the Mamiya C220 a close second. The Nikon FM2 has become a collectors piece. For large format, Speed Graphics.

Without a doubt Minolta:

Maxxum 7 for action and such
But have started shooting a lot on MF SLRs this past year to include a couple of SRTs, an XE-7, XD-7, SR-7, and a couple of Hi-matic 7SII rangefinders.

But when I make special trips my Mamiya 645 1000s comes along and sees a lot of use!

My old Canon F1 is sleeping in a dusty cupboard... for 3 or 4 years now...
Last 3 years, almost only Hasselblad 501C, plannar 80mm, with 3 extra rolls on a Holga, and an 1/2 day session back to 24x36 for the 80th birthday of a (beloved) auntie.
It looked like I would have been married to Hassie till the time a Sinar F looked me in both eyes... After having had fun with her a few weeks, I'm now afraid I'm in love... with her daughter (the P2) and will not feel right as long as I don't get her in my bed...
