For the Nikons, my prefered lenses are the 24mm f/2.8, 50mm f/1.4, 105mm f/2.5 or 135 f/3.5mm. On the Kievs I use most of the time the Helios-103 53mm f/1.8
followed by the Jupiter-9 85mm f/2 and sometimes the J12 35mm f/2.8

These days - by time and quantity, the Shen-Hao by far. Loved the nikon when i used it, now it just feels like practicing for the real thing
Will probably sell it in favour of more LF lenses and a new (grown-up) LF body. So I guess it's the format rather than the brand that's got me. Large Format = intrigue and challenge for me. Did I mention I love it??

Another camera used often is my Kodak Retinette IB.

OmegaView with the Rodenstock Geronar 210.....I LOVE using this camera...I wouldn't trade it for a field camera unless I were climbing an alp or the like and then i would use my Pentax67 with the 55, 105 and 200 lenses in its Lowepro backpack, which whimpers plaintively to me to use it as much as I used to (essentially always) before the 4x5 came along. (Keeping these cameras happy is a very delicate excercise in tact and diplomacy.)

I have a few camera "packages", lovingly assembled over many years, that I keep at the ready depending on whether I'm heading out to run errands or going out specifically to make photographs. I just grab the one that fits as I head out the door.

1) A little Leitz/Minolta CL system in a small fanny pack (no excuse not to have a camera with me)
2) An old Nikon F Photomic with a 35 to 105 macro zoom , always loaded with Tri-X (heavy but versatile and totally stylin')
3) A Nikonos V (in the pouring rain or watersports)
4) Contax S2 with either a small case and a couple of CZ primes or...
4a) a larger case with a bunch of CZ primes, a zoom, mutar, extra bodies, flash etc.
5) An Omegaview F (for studio or when I am feeling particularly energetic)

always with a Gossen Digisix or Sekonic Studio deluxe 398 in my pocket

But...
If you _ever_ ambush me on the street or supermarket or laundramat or (more likely) in a bar and I am not packing my Lomo LCA somewhere on my person, loaded up with Lucky or Shoprite or Walmart or whatever film happened to be available at the local dollar store. I'll give you five bucks.

I caught the photo bug in high school, the first camera I used was my father's Voigtlander Prominent. First camera I bought was a Pentax S1a (wish I still had it). After finishing school I worked in a camera store where I bought a Nikon F from a customer, loved the thing but boy was it big and heavy!

We got some Olympus stock into the store and I fell in love with the OM-1 first time I held it in my hands, so the F got sold and I've been an Olympus user ever since. I want to be buried with my OM-1...

A friend recently loaned me a Linhof Technika IV 4x5 and I enjoyed using it but carrying it through the bush nearly broke my back. Couldn't afford to buy it from him so I'm now back to the OM-1 (and the back's nearly recovered).

Ambition is to buy a Pentax 6x7 system one day.

Wow! This thread has been around long enough for some people to switch systems a couple of times.

I got serious about photography in 1973 when I bought a Nikon FTn with 50/1.4 and a Vivitar enlarger. I used Nikons professionally for over 17 years with the occasional use of Leica rangefinders and Mamiya TLRs. I also played with 4x5, having owned two Wista 45SP cameras and several lenses. There were two Wistas because the first outfit was stolen and I replaced it with another. I sold the 4x5, Leica and a lot of the Nikon equipment when I stopped doing newspaper work and got out of photography.

I bought into the Canon EOS system in 1999 because I wanted autofocus and the equivalent bodies and lenses were cheaper than Nikon. I thought I would just do snapshooting at the time. Wrong. I got serious again and ended up with a ton of EOS equipment and more Leica rangefinder equipment. And recently, I bought a Pentax 645 (the original manual focus model) and a few lenses. I still have and occasionally use a Mamiya C330.

I currently use Leica rangefinders more than any other brand of camera. They are small, light and travel with me virtually everywhere. The Canons get used more for closeups and long lenses. The Pentax will probably get a lot of use because it is new to me and it handles like a 35mm. But when I look at what camera brand I have used most in the past 30 years, the cameras I used the most were Nikon F and F2. I probably averaged 10-12 rolls of film a day, 5 days a week for the last 10-12 years I worked. I doubt I ever surpass that amount of use.

I still use my FD-series Canon's -- A1 and a pair of AE1P's (the F1 was stolen, boohoo). I have most of the lenses between 20mm and 200mm.

I also have a Contax G2 with the stock 3-lens kit: 28/45/90 with the 28 getting the lion's share of the shots. Had a borrowed 21 for a while, I'd buy one but the A-1 with a 20mm just barely fits in my big jacket pocket. Sometimes I supplement the Contax with a Canon Leica-like from the 50's.

TMax 100 60%, Delta 400 30%, Ektachrome 100G 10%

I use 35mm for 90% of my shooting, digital and MF for the remainder.

I actually sold the Canons to pay for a Canon DSLR a while back. I still use the Contax though — I'm currently in stormy Japan and the Contax feels safe and light and ready to deal with rain and worse. The DSLR is a slow, heavy, and fragile thing, afraid of the elements. The Contax is always ready to go.

I've also forgone most 35mm films save for Tri-X, and soup it in Rodinal. Went hardcore on it for a month or two — uber-contrast overdeveloped a la Ralph Gibson — but have been softening the approach over the past couple of months.

Leica M6 and R8 with various lenses, the latter specifically based on what I know I will be shooting and how far away the subject matter will likely be in general. The reliability of Leica's optics is amazing and they inspire me to get out and shoot more and more and more so I can duplicate Christmas as a kid: the joy of opening presents on Christmas morning is analagous to exploring my just-dried b&w negatives and just-received color prints & slides processed by a very good lab.

Olympus OMs most of the time. I have 2 OM 4Ti's, 2 OM 2n's an OM1 and an OM10 for familly snaps. Lenses: 21mm, 24mm, 28mm, 50mm, 135mm and 70-200 zoom. I also use a Mamyia RB67, mostly on a copying stand, and a 70 year old Leica IIIa with a Voightlander 15mm lens.

35mm - Pentax mainly - think the MESuper is cute as it's small & it's shutter is relatively quiet, still have a KX body new in '77 & 2 autofocus bodies

MF - don't currently use it but still have Mamiya C220 which used to use a lot also a Rolleimagic II & old Mamiya M645 (original model)
