Which brand of camera do we use the most?

Olympus for me 90% of the time. Most of the time with either an OM-4ti or an OM-3. Still shoot the old OM-1 occasionally. I also shoot a fair amount with an old and battered XA.

The other camera I shoot with is a Rollei 35s.

Minolta x370's (4 of 'em) with mostly off-brand lenses. But I'm proud of the shots that people think were made by a pro with sophisticated equipment. I ain't a pro and my equipment is jurassic......

I use most a Fuji S2 pixelhorse, 2. Sinar P for studio work, Sinar F1 and Arca Swiss and Horseman HF outside all in 4x5
3. For weddings I use a Nikon F5 and F100 very seldom a Bronica GS1 6x7 and the Rolleiflex GX f 2.8 for classic concert shootings!

You did not say you have 3 Deardorffs though. I hope to buy one one of these days.

Where have all the Canon FTBs gone ? Read a couple of articles in AP recently and it sounds worth a look -lots cheaper than F1. I've been hunting high and low and not a sniff of one.

Most of the time I use a Pentax MX which must be one of the simplest and most reliable cameras around, but I still give my Ricoh KR 10, bought about 21 or 22 years ago and my first SLR, which is still going strong despite being a "budget" model and has only needed one small repair to the foam around the focusing screen. It dose sound like a tank though.

I use both Leica M and Nkon (F100) for my 35mm work. I particularily love my Leica's for the small size, the terrific image quality, the quite mode I can work in, the very low shutter speeds that still render pin sharp images vibration free (for the most part). Most of my wedding work that is requested over and over again are those candid, photojournalistic shots that are, 80% of the time, taken with my Leica's. I love my Nikon's for the wonderful autofocus and traded for my F100 after tiring of lugging my F5 battelship around...a great camera that doubled as my lightweight dumbell work for my biceps! My clients have the option of larger format with our Hassy's that some will request, but the majority of my work is in 35.

Used to use Canon FD but found focussing increasingly difficult as i got older and my eyes more and more longsighted. Now use Minolta Dynax 5 and 7.

Also have 5x4 (nagaoka and Cambo C2N), but no-ones brought out an autofocus model with image stabilisation lenses yet (It takes me an age to focus these, but doesn't seem to matter so much)

K-mount cameras: Pentax, Ricoh. Pentax maintained his bayonet compatibility from its first models to the 2004 Pentax*ist, and managed an easy use of its over 30 years old screw mount lenses too. Advantages: largest selection of lenses in the world, with some units that still remain between the few bests ever made lenses (example: Pentax 1.4/50), lenses you can buy on eBay for 10-100$ only. In two words this means to me: reliability (for the system compatibility over decades) and freedom (for having choices of quality and price).

In MF I use a YashicaMat 124 and love it! While some have stick with range-finders in the 35mm format, I have stick with my TLR in MF.

I recently acquired a Nikon FM3a, for the second time. What a wonderful, classic 35mm SLR that is. Just sold the F80. Plastic and electronics just aren't for me, or at least, that's the conclusion I came to over the past year. I thought it would be Ok, and I gave it a good shot, but metal and manual is too ingrained in me, after 30 years of using classic Pentax Spotmatics and derivatives.

I use a Minolta XG-7 with 2 lenses. I have a Rokkor 50mm and a Rokkor 135mm Tele. I just got it recently, but it's already kicking the daylights out of my old Vivitar that mysteriously died. I do have to say I am a hardcore manual camera lens hauler. I don't mind the bulk as long as I get the shots.

I use Nikon for most of my 35mm, but my old Pentax Spotmatic still gets out of it's case quite often. Especially if I'm traveling light and want the speed of it's f1.4 Takumar. Lovely glass. Mamiya 645 for landscapes and portraits. Once in a while I take out the old Speed Graphic.

When I do use 35mm then I have a brace of F1s that are particular favourites. My small MF kit is a mamiya 645 with 45,55,80,150 and 210mm. My big MF kit is an Exakta 66 Model 2 and Pentacon Six TL with 50,50,80,120,150,180 and 300mm Lenses (all either Zeiss or Schneider). I have recently acquired a modest Linhof 5x4 outfit that I look forward to getting to grips with this year. Over the last 25 years I have never been inclined to sell any of my photographic gear (except 2 old russian lenses and one enlarger) so my inventory is

Canon FX, FT, AE1,A1,F1n, F1 T70 and two T90s with 24,28,35,85,.105,135,200,400 (although not a very good one)

Linhof Super Technica IV with 90,120,150,180mm lenses

MF as detailed above plus a Hartblei 688 body and a number of film magazines.

Its really quite rediculous to have accumulated such a stack of gear over the years but I can't bear to get rid of any of it. Besides I would probably never recover my investment.

I know exactly what you mean! my first was the planar on the SL66 - that really got me hooked. Although I seem to go from razor sharp (CZ) to absolutely blunt (Holga) - I suppose I just like opposites.

My favourite camera is still my lightweight and trusty Contax Aria. I have a Contax ST and a Nikon F80 and a slew of Nikkor lenses but am thinking of ditching the Nikon system eventually, except that I can think of occasions when I need AF (and I can't afford a Contax AX!). The magic of Zeiss glass is intoxicating..... and I love the solid feel of the Contax bodies as well as their smooth manual operation.

It is sturdy, the lenses are (relatively) cheap, and it feels substantial. I just wish it had an automatic film advance.
