Since this is the 35mm forum,

I'll assume we're talking 35mm cameras, for me it's Nikon, since my first F in 1975 (still have it too), though I've hardly looked at the 35mm stuff in the last 6 months or so, as the RB67 and the 4x5 and 8x10 camera have taken over most of my shooting time.

Started with Pentax S1a and a Takumar 55mm back in 1963.
My only equipment for the first five years.
Followed the standard path through the Spotmatics and Nikorrmats into the Nikon F's in the 1970's.
Stayed with the F's for years.
Today?
Always carry an M6 and a Bessa RxA or two with some Leica lenses in the laptop bag.
Leica R8 for those slow sunday shootings. For pure joy. It is a dream to use exept for the slow focus.
Occasionally bring out the F5 when things move really fast because of the fantastic autofocus. Would use it more often if Nikon could improve their lenses.
Make a final choice? Leica M and Bessa R's with M lenses.
Choose between the two? Not easy. M6 at the theatre and across the dinner table, but the Bessas and their automatic exposure out in the streets where no one hears the shutter.

Leica M6 with 35, 28 and 50 in that order or use for regular companionship.
Hasselblad 500cm with 80, 50, and 150 in order of use for hikes in the woods where I have a mission.
Yashica T4 with little zeiss for travel
Rollei T-my favourite for zen time.

In my original reply to this in 09/2004, I said I had recently bought a used Pentax 645 and speculated I would use it a lot. I do. Currently, more than any of the other cameras I own.

I use the Contax c/y mount system. I generally take out two cameras with me: one for BW & one for color. One has a 35mm lens, the other 50mm. One day I might take out the RX & the 139Q and the next the Aria & the S2.

Most of my shooting is with a Rolleiflex 2.8E. As part of my business II restore vintage telephones, radios (and occasionally cameras), and take pictures of them - to sell the items on ebay, etc. That accounts for probably 80% of my film use. No, I don't use digital. I use both 120 and 35mm (120 for more valuable items), and the Rollei shoots either with use of the Rollekin adapter. I also use a Linhof for really up close shots. I used to use a Hassy 503CX, but I don't have a 35mm back and have found I prefer the Rollei for most things anyway. I also have a cute little Kodak Pony which I use for fun sometimes (35mm).

Pentax LX, and another Pentax LX, and a Pentax MX.
When I'm shooting MF it's Hasselblad 500c/m, and for the last weeks Pentax 645.

I have two primary kits that, between them, are used for over 90% of my photography.

My Nikon MF SLR system is used mostly for landscape and portraits. My Leica M rangefinder system is for street shooting and travel.

The remainder is mostly with a small Olympus OM1 kit but I'll occasionally dig out my Olympus Stylus Epic or even an old Topcon 35L rangefinder.

Very rarely used is a Canon A540 digicam.

Canon for SLR and digital cameras.
For rangefinder, I'm all over the place. Yashica, Canon and Bessa.

Nikon for 35mm and digital, Mamiya for 120 film. Someday when I'm swimming in cash I would like to try Leica M series.

I love my Canon EOS 630. I have been using it since the late 1980's.

I back it up with a Canon F-1N

For medium format it is Mamiya 645 1000s

All reliable workhorses.

FOUR YEARS AGO, AFTER GETTING FOCUS PROBLEMS WITH MY CANON T90 DUE TO AGING EYESIGHT I CHANGED TO A RANGE FINDER CAMERA AND SPLASHED OUT ON A NEW LEICA M6TTL AND THREE PRIME LENS, 35, 50 AND 90MM AND HAVE USED NOTHING ELSE SINCE.
RECENTLY I CHANGED THE BODY FOR THE M7 AND I DO NOT THINK THIS COMBINATION CAN BE BETTERED ANYWHERE.
I HAVE ACCESS TO A MAMIYA 6X7 AND A HORSMAN 4X5 BUT ONLY USE THE M7FOR MONOCHROME PRINTS AT 12"X16" AND COLOUR SLIDES.

There's no need to shout

Nikon 35mm (F2AS, F3HP or F5), about 35%; Leica M6, about 20%; Hasselblad, about 30%; Linhof 4x5, about 10%; and, sin of sins, Nikon D700, about 5%. Back in the days of Kodachrome, I would guesstimate that 35mm shooting would have accounted for something in the neighborhood of about 75-80% of my shooting, with the balance divided between medium format and view (digital was reserved for those occasions when I was shooting for somebody else (i.e. not the important or interesting stuff...)

I think this thread was started back in 2002, it's now 2011, and things have changed quite a bit since then. Digital photography has been adopted by the masses and even serious photographers, but there is still a place for analogue film. I shoot mostely with the Canon 5d Mk2 (digital), but love to get out with the 5x4 Ebony, I'll admit, not as often as I'd like. I love the contemplative approach to this type (large-format) of photography, the opposite to digital which usually is spur-of-the-moment, which does allow trial and error and promote artistic learning and experimenting. Somewhat expensive with 5x4 sheet film.

Mamiya C-220 and C-330, followed by my 4x5 Calumet cc-401. I've been shooting much less 35mm these days, my Olympus cameras sit on the shelf a good bit of the time. I probably shoot my Retinette more than my Oly's. My13yo daughter shoots my Olympus' more than I do, along with her Calumet cc-400.
