The only point I can figure out is to make it really frustrating for everyone who uses a cel phone to access Photrio.

But that grumpiness aside, I too welcome Lumipan to Photrio, and look forward to your contributions here.

So you are telling me the posts I see on my computer monitor when visiting Photrio aren't real? Well, that would certainly explain a lot of things. I mean I sort of suspected it all along. Really, some of the stuff people have said is so unbelievable you just knew it couldn't be real.

If it in not a silver gelatin print or RA4 print, then it is not a photograph and it does not exist and it is not real. Nothing on the internet is real; it is all ephemeral.

I shot a film and a half with this camera and lens a year ago.

Some images were in focus some not
So either I missed focus for the ones out of focus and the ones in focus were in focus because I focused right.
Or
the ones in focus were the ones I missed focus and those out of focus are those I focused well...

Anyway, I'll shoot this film and develop it...

I just like shooting more with my other 50mm lens, there is nothing wrong with this lens on a digital camera.

I'll probably get something better eventually if I stick to film.

You can't print music and I say it's real when you listen to it, either on a stupid phone or live in concert. Sometimes it's real crap, but that's an another discussion...
Same with photos I'd say...

I have heard some photographers say that before. It is a dead giveaway they couldn't figure out how to use Photoshop. They say a lot of other eye-rolling stuff too. Like using a calculator is cheating. Or it isn't real tennis unless you use a wooden racquet. You know, stuff like that.

I buy software, I do not rent it. So if necessary I use GIMP.
I use my darkroom and have no need for Fauxtow$hop.

Go w/ the Leica if possible. I've had more than a few issues w/ Zenit cameras, unless you know for sure that yours works properly.

I only got PS-7, does that count? Pretty simple to use for most stuff, if I need the complicated controls the negative is not going to work in the darkroom anyway.

Yeah, I had the same reaction 10 years ago on RFF when I said that an image on a computer monitor is not a "real" image. Some things never change. Sigh. Just a different way some people's brains work, no big deal. But I firmly believe that photography is about, you know, making photographs. It's pretty hard to get a gallery show of your phone pics if they're still only inside your phone. 25 years from now, will our bottom drawers not be filled w/ family photos, but w/ lots of phones instead (that no longer work)? I can't feature it.

I'm not going to share what I think about where those arguments themselves actually do belong, because I've already used up my quota for grumpiness today!

Olympus om 10 with the manual adapter just popped up in the local ads for 100€ or maybe less if possible to negotiate a bit. You think it might be ok? It comes with a 50mm/1.8 F. Zuiko. Seller claims it's like new
I already have an Olympus 50mm/1.8 Zuiko lens, so I could sell one...

Great camera just depends if it works or not. What the seller claims may not mean much - it may look like new but does it work like new? A camera that old will need new light seals in the film door area.
fyi that is advice for any old camera, not just this OM10.

I sold lots of OM-10s when they were current. They were a popular and successful camera and many were sold.
If it is in good shape, it will be capable of taking great photos.
They aren't incredibly robust, but there still are lots of them out there that are working.
I have and use lots of OM models, including the update to that camera, the OM-20/OM-G.
But in your case, I would make my decision based on condition and availability.

MS76 or SR44. For testing, LR44 will suffice.

A few years ago while visiting a "junque" shop I noticed an Olympus OM 10 with the 50mm f1.8 Zuiko and everready case for, IIRC, $25.00. It was marked "Doesn't work." It was on a table marked "1/2 off." Somehow I recalled that the OM 10 is battery dependent, so I decided to risk $12.50, plus tax. Sure enough, with the proper cells it worked fine! I later scored the manual adapter, the winder and the dedicated flash. The OM 10 is a pleasant shooter.

I would choose a camera lens combo that allows the use of contrast filters for B&W film.

My 35mm Nikon N6006 is still working after thirty-plus years. The shutter is amazingly accurate. And the meter works great. It has PASM, braketing, and most of the bells and whistles. It's plastic, but nice plastic, and not waterproof. But so what? This model is cheap to buy. Make sure they include the battery charger. Here are some recent pictures using Tmax 400.

I was busy with something else these days and meanwhile the OM10 was sold... So I'll wait for the next opportunity, I think I might opt for one of these 90s cameras, as I never owned one. Actually whatever comes first, I'll see...
The scanned images from Cosina should be ready in a few days, maybe they turn out ok...
