When will Photowarehouse let us move on with our lives and just come out and declare that the Ultrafine Extreme line is no more?

Kaput.
Terminado.

I’m not crying. You’re crying!

You can buy the same or very similar film Kentemere, B&H has in stock, rolls and bulk, but no 120.

Really became fond on Ultrafine Xtreme 120 film. Since my stock finally ranout, I'm looking for candidates. Probably will move to either Fomapan or FP4/HP5.

Would be very happy if film bacame available again.

So if this is no more, what might be the problem? I can only presume that whoever the film maker was, has decided not to do it in 120 any longer so whose film was it and has that maker dropped a similar line in its own 400 speed?

Thanks

I've moved on to Foma 200, 35mm, 120, 21/4 by 31/4 and 4X5, with Tmax 400 for travel, the only Ultrafine I kept on hand was for my point and shoots, Pentax IQ zooms default to ISO 25.

It’s just Kentmere. They don’t do that in 120 on their own. My guess is that given the demand vs supply issues right now Harman are prioritizing their own films over white label discount films. Unless they either bring on more capacity (unlikely) or demand for film slows again (possible), it could be a long wait. I would guess (guess!) the contract was written this way and that’s why Photo Warehouse can’t give an answer and yet hasn’t removed the film from their site.

I commiserate with your misery. I also hope it comes back in stock, but like others, am testing Kentmere Pan 400 as an alternative.

Sooooo I picked up a box of goodies from Valerie today and this was inside.

I have shot Kentmere 400... while I remember liking it, I also remember it was 35mm only and significantly grainier than UE 400.

Me, too. I have a box of Foma 400 but haven’t shot it yet.

That’s a pretty perspicacious presumption. ‘Twould certainly explain the awkward silence.

Did we break up? Why isn’t she returning any of my calls??

That’s the Grande Mystère. Money is on UE being made by Kentmere, but this has never been confirmed. And, Photowarehouse has been mum thus far on whether or not we’ll ever be graced by those effulgent (and affordable) mid-tones ever again.

Remember, it could very well be the case that the film is made elsewhere, but confectioned by Harman.

You’re a cruel person.

Not really. I read the thread and thought “isn’t this what’s inside the box?”

I must not know what I have.

What do I have?

He's a Try-X guy. Make him an offer he can't refuse.

Only until I finish these last few rolls of 120. Once that’s done, I’ll be an HP5 guy.

And for the foreseeable future I’ll be an HP4, TMax, Ultrafine, and Efke guy. I’ve got 500’ of film to experiment with.

@ChristopherCoy how much film do you shoot?!

I try to shoot at least one roll a week but it seems that will be significantly increasing in the near future. Just as soon as I get my hands on some reloadable cassettes.

Photo Warehouse is from OxNard, CA. Would anyone every buy something from a place that named itself after a bulls testicles? I mean, just sayin.

I'm sure the people of Santa Barbara and Ventura love their weekend trips into Oxnard to buy film.
