This is a random weird facet I've noticed with a few old medium format rolls I've developed- that I won't get a blue pre wash but at the end it will turn the developer slightly pink. I've only ever used sprint standard, and have only done about five old medium format rolls so far, but I'm wondering if anyone has any explanation why this happens, or if this happens with other developers.

Also, the films were
three found verichrome pans,
One txp 220,
and one tx 120 with a green backing paper.

Even with current films you will see different colours with different films.

First of all no film manufacturers recommend a pre-wash, use one if you want to, but it is not recommended by the film maker. And whne I experimented with a pre-wash I got several different colors of dye rinsing out.

They may not recommend it but it does help get the film to the right temp before putting the chemicals in.

I prewash for the same reason as andrewf. With 120 film the wash water almost always has a tint, sometimes darker, sometimes heavier. Never paid enough attention to make a study.

I never pre-wash film. No point, unless I'm developing multiple sheets in a tray then it's good to have the film pre-wetted so that they don't stick to each other in the tray... but I don't do multiple sheets in a tray.
