Great news. Just so others here don't get misinformed, though, the "MA" for the A-1 (and AE-1 Program) is the Motor Drive MA, and not a winder, like the A2 is. It's a great motor drive too, in case you're not familiar with it. I like that it has a button for vertical shooting, and that little white button that rests under your pinky? That's a high-speed override. Push that in with your pinky and you're blazing along at 4.5 fps to 5 fps.

Thanks for the update. The person selling the MA claimed it was for the Canon F1 but I corrected him & knocked $10 off the price. Of all the years of using the MA I don't think I ever needed the white button. I mostly have it on S setting anyway. This is the first time I have had an A2. Seems nice.

Just bought a Hasselblad 503 cxi with 50 mm and 150 mm lenses. I have shot two rolls through it so far and just love it. This camera and my Nikon f3 hp are my go to cameras now.

I saw 2 of them there and when I looked again they were both gone. I thought you might have gotten both... Not a bad price I must say.

Same here. But I usually leave the drive on "C" and just mind my index finger. The A2 works fine for what it is. A worthwhile addition to an AE-1 at least.

If you're not an aficionado of Minolta's more modern 35mm SLRs, you're probably not aware of what a gem the X-570 is. It lacks the program mode of the X-700, but in other ways it's superior to its big brother. Most notably when used in Manual mode. It has a fully coupled meter -- which reacts to both aperture settings and shutter speeds. Unlike the X-700, which reacts to changes in aperture settings only. Like the X-700 it has a very bright focusing screen and retains TTL flash capability. It also can be used with the MD-1 motor drive. One of Minolta's best. I picked up this very clean example off goodwill's auction site for a great price. Came with a 50mm f/1.4 lens, neverready case, and dedicated Sunpak 422D flash.

I like my M5 very much. Not the most popular Leica, but still a fine camera.

I am finding a like it more and more each day. I guess I need the big brother to my CL and it is faster to use than my iiif (though my iiif is my most enjoyable to shoot).

The last one I bought now was a "new" Bronica S among with a bunch of accessories, however I have bought five (!!) film cameras in the last two weeks (wheres one of them is brand new) but the old and "old" ones are:

- Mamiya 645 Pro TL
- Olympus mjuII ("needed" a compact AF... but sadly it was the one with a zoom )
- Firstflex (no reason...)
- Bronica S (to complete my allready broken Bronica S)

The mamiya and the olympus is the only ones I have as of yet since the other are in the mail.
Ghaa I think I need to sell a few now...

Just a word to the wise regarding your Bronica S. The S and S2 have rather fragile brass gear transports for the film wind mechanism. The S2a's is steel and thus much more robust. It is typically recommended that, when advancing the film with an S or S2 to use the knob only, and not the crank, to reduce the risk of stripping these gears.

I owned one of these early Bronicas -- mine was an ECTL -- and I loved it. The lenses were excellent, especially the Nikkors.

I just picked up a Rolleiflex New Standard. It's a little beat up and dented, but it functions, the glass is great, and it was dirt cheap. The front is a little dented too, so I'm hoping that the alignment is still good. I have a test roll in it now, hopefully the photos turn out but if not it'll make a nice prop or shelf piece.

Likewise, it was only this year that I bought a Polaroid packfilm camera.

You may want to try Fuji-3000B while it's still available (production stopped two years ago). It's a nice, contrasty B&W film - just set your camera for the 3000 film speed.

It has been here a few days, but the newest oldie is a nameless whole plate English field camera with brass fittings and front standard identical to what I have seen in pictures of Butcher and Sons/Houghton-Butcher/Ensign cameras. Maybe it was sold to someone in kit form? I will probably put something up about the restoration when that is done.
