Excellent choice. What types of 16mm film will you be using?

I am all in black and white. Some remaining Gigabitfilm 40, the usual suspects of negative emulsions such as Orwo UN 54, N 74, duplicating neg, dupe pos, and the elementary positive print stocks. Maybe even sound recording film

But first I have to complete and overhaul the camera. When you look closely at the picture, you will notice that the clutch lever is missing. Also the filter slot is empty, the enlarging lens is not there between focussing prism and eye-level finder, a set screw with the finder and the f=10mm lens to the multifocal side finder. I payed 80 Francs.

Turret stiff, focal flange depth 17,54 mm instead of 17,52 mm, mechanism dry. Rainy weekends, be welcome!

Oh, I bought two Kiev 16 Alpha recently. What a crazy camera!

You might open it up to take a look at the sliding contact under the lens mount bayonet. I just fixed a couple of Nikkormat bodies with same problem and this was the cause.

ordered some 110 film so in the future I can roll my own film. I said 'working' but since this morning the mirror sticks for a while and then start working again for 3 or 4 times and sticks again ?!

You might open it up to take a look at the sliding contact under the lens mount bayonet. I just fixed a couple of Nikkormat bodies with same problem and this was the cause.

I would if I were planning to use it. It was purchased as a parts body, but is for sale for whoever wants to use it as a repair project or to use as is. The jumpiness occurs when you try to adjust the shutter speed, whereas, if you adjust the aperture, the needle moves smoothly. So, expecting that the contact on the speed ring is shorting to ground intermittently. Another common problem on Nikkormat FT series bodies, especially the FT2 and FT3 for some reason.

A Certo Dollina II, which from what I can see on the web is somewhere between 1936 & 1938. It has the f2.0 Schneider Xenon lens, is in good nick and everything appears to work. £5 in a house clearance shop.

I have chrome XD-11s and a Black XD, Blk XD-7, Blk XD-11 already, but didn't think another one would hurt.If the XD-11 had a higher speed (it is capable of higher speeds,but limited to 1/1000) it would have made a bigger mark than it did.It is a great camera.

Zenit with 5mm helios 44m-4 (17 euro)
Konica T3 with 50 mm 1.7 and 28mm 3.5 (30 euro)
Olympus FTl with 50mm 1.8, 135 mm 3.5 and 35mm 2.8 (10 euro!!!!!!!!!!!)

Canon ae1 with 50mm 1.8 and 135mm 3.5 (30 euro)
Zenit with 5mm helios 44m-4 (17 euro)
Konica T3 with 50 mm 1.7 and 28mm 3.5 (30 euro)
Olympus FTl with 50mm 1.8, 135 mm 3.5 and 35mm 2.8 (10 euro!!!!!!!!!!!)

I miss flea markets, and what the Brits call "boot sales." I used to live in Southern California and there were probably a dozen nice flea markets to attend down there, scattered througout the Los Angeles/Orange County area, some of them 7 days a week. Here in Houston, there is only one and most of the vendors are selling new cheap crap. Maybe 1% of the vendors sell used stuff, and maybe 1% of them may have anything photo-related. I did score a huge Majestic tripod from one vendor once, though. So it hasn't been a total loss. Paid $20 for the Majestic.

I don't use the Majestic much, though. It's such a beast. The camera mounting plate is about 8" square, so I'm thinking it was probably originally intended for use with a 35mm movie camera.

Today I got ANOTHER Canon A1 & MA power winder and a free power winder A2. Left the place early after I sold the bulk of what I brought. Nobody was interested in Russian cameras or lenses.

Great news. Just so others here don't get misinformed, though, the "MA" for the A-1 (and AE-1 Program) is the Motor Drive MA, and not a winder, like the A2 is. It's a great motor drive too, in case you're not familiar with it. I like that it has a button for vertical shooting, and that little white button that rests under your pinky? That's a high-speed override. Push that in with your pinky and you're blazing along at 4.5 fps to 5 fps.
