A minty overhauled Pentax Spotmatic II from Don Goldberg.

Nikon FG with SB15 flash in EX+ condition from KEH. Fifty bucks, no tax, no shipping. Just opened the box and it is all free of scratches, dirt etc. I put a set of batteries in the camera and it sprang to life and is ready to go. I really like that light meter that will just turn off by itself. It will make a nice little camera and I will run a roll of Tri-X through this camera tomorrow.

Newly a proud owner of a Konica Hexar AF. What sharp lens!! Love the handling too!

My most recent camera purchase :
Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta 531/16 - equiped with Novar Anastigmat f/3.5 75mm

Folder by Andreas, on Flickr

I was mentally deranged when I took the picture above -
35mm film cartrige next to a 120 folder - shame on me ...

Thanks for the tip. The focusing image is a bit darker than on my Autocord.

The camera seems to be well taken care of. Optics are in good condition and mechanically it was surprisingly good. I tested the shutter and found it to be within 10% on longest times and within 5% or even better on shorter ones. For example, 1/10 was 100-103 milliseconds across tens of cycles. Prontor-SV is amazing.

Fred, Your Ikonta is visually in better shape than mine (532/16). The lens on mine has the odd-looking monacle on the front std. & the zeiss s/n lookup places it with a 1936 date. I don't remember seeing you getting the Bessa. Perhaps this was less of a reach, cost-wise. For a camera w/ a fixed lens, I couldn't be more happy. Maybe a Fuji would be more contrast, possibly more sharp, but the way this old Tessar renders a scene is very very pleasing. The closest I've seen to the way it renders is some of the older LF lens. Sharp, but not primarily accutance. It should give you many pleasing years & serve well in getting the shots you posted from decades ago. 'Hope it puts a smile on your face for a long, long time.

@HiHoSilver : Yes, the Super Ikonta is in very good shape (it came CLA'd - I think the service man from Britain did a very good job) - the only thing to work on, is the -well known and often discussed- frame spacing issue.
I will try the solution proposal I've found on certo6.com / Jürgen Kreckel (see the last two thumbnails) http://www.certo6.com/cameras/zeiss-super-ikonta
I shot on colour film, so I have to wait a couple of days to get the results.
The Lady of the house held me back getting the Bessa - the Super Ikonta was a kind of consolation ... Thank you for your kind words !

At least you'll get 12 shots to a roll. I'll forever get 11 at best. I think you'll find you're not disappointed at all.

I wanted a fairly simple AF p&s in my arsenal and picked up a clean Minolta AF-Tele at the local camera store for $5 today. I like old Minoltas and had never heard of this one before today. A couple of fresh batteries and a trip around the neighborhood with a roll of Kentmere 100 later, and the first roll is hanging to dry. They look real promising and may provide a few more shots for this month's MSA. I kind of like the switching from 38mm or 60mm vs. a zoom now that I have used it. Kind of like switching between prime lenses in an slr.

Fred: you will like the Ikonta III. The Bessa is nice but much larger. I will be interested in seeing some results from the Novar. Make sure to post back!

'anxious to see some shots from macfred's Ikonta. I'm betting they'll be superb.

'Can't wait! Have fun, Fred.
