Although I have a Polaroid SX-70, an SLR 690, and an Image 1200, this latest camera lets me use Fuji pack film.

Going through some boxes given to me by my maternal aunts, I came across this gem - what a pleasant surprise! According to one web site, these were made between 1934 and 1941.

Very Sweet, Theo.

Jim - with what you do w/ old gear & glass - get all the stuff you desire & post lots of results.

Sadly my packfilm camera has cost me hundreds of dollars in FP-3000b film lol.

I like how the "negative" can get solarized, so you can get 3 photos for the price of one:

Skorpius, that's a most endearing shot. I'll bet you savor that for a long time.

Jim - Your shot of the truck interior w/ the Pinkham 16" caused a sizeable change in my perception of a good photo. You do more soft focus work than I'm tuned to, but that truck photo had more rich detail even beyond the depth of field. It left a mark on my appreciation. You could post an image of a phonebook page & I'd look carefully at it.

Thanks for the comments, her name is Vanessa.

The next photos I take with FP-3000b I want to see if the neg gets solarized if it's kept int the dark immediately after peeling.

A 1914 Graflex Jr 2X3 just arrived today.
It looks like it will take a little bit of work before I need to order film for it.

I'll bet that won't attract any attention.

Now THAT's handsome.

Two from the dreaded auction site

Fron KEH via that auction site I was able to buy a bgn contax IIa for a bargain. Two of the shutter slates look as if they have been bitten by a vampire and have two little dents. Cosmetic damage that doesnt seem to bother camera. Will know for sure after film is developed. My second acquisition is a mint Minolta 16 MG kit in presentstion case with several film cassettes. The cassettes are worth more than I paid for the camera. The ancient selenium meter seems to work properly but since camera selects shutter speed according to what Minolta wanted I will have to wait for results.

I just picked up a zeiss ikon tlr the had a roll of verichrome inside. Looks like the first 3-4 frames had been taken but I likely ruined one or two of them when I opened the camera. I plan to shoot the rest then develop the film and hope for some cool vintage photo......

If that Zeiss (Ikoflex?) is still working, I'm betting it'll make you really happy. I passed a beautiful one up 'cause I wanted interchangeable lens. I suspect withing comparable years of manufacture, they give up little or none to the Rolleis.

I really can't tell how well its working since it has film in it and I don't want to waste any exposures (beyond what I've already fogged) until I've settled on a decent subject, but all I paid was $34.00 so I don't stand to lose much even if it goes on the shelf.....

I received another bag of my grandfather's camera gear. It had a another Minolta SRT 102, black this time with a couple of lenses, and a Marvel 127 half frame camera. The Minolta needs to be sent out for a CLA once I figure out who is good with Minoltas. The Marvel rangefinder was way off, now fixed, and the focus mechanism was sloppy, temporarily fixed the sagging spring. I might find a roll of 127 once I replace a missing red window since the shutter works well at all speeds except B and T.

PM me your address and I'll mail you 2 rolls of 127 Royal Pan that have been languishing in my office too long.
