My understanding from having taken the front off of a few of them is that it's a sandwich of very dense and rather thick metal making up the front and back covers and a bakelite chassis with some metal for the shutter mechanism to ride on.
Argus C3 Colormatic, circa 1955.
Just got in, looks very good, focus wheel a little sluggish, in need of lubrication, perhaps.
A Voigtlander Perkeo ll, CLA'd & film tested. It hasn't arrived yet, but i was looking for a small 120 camera.....& i have a soft spot for Tessar-design lenses. Color Skopar on this one
The lens isn't new to me but the camera is. A nice Ebay dealer from Japan.

Wow, what a beauty. Working correctly?

When I start developing film I always see more than half says PERKEO II PerkeoE. I shoot it more than another MF camera. It is a lot of fun.
Latest is a excellent late model Pentax LX from KEH. Came with the FA-1Pentaprism; I've since added the FB-1/FC-1, the B grip and strap swivels. Remarkable camera, I"ve already put 5 rolls through it.
I've reloaded 126 in the past but I'm not sure it would work with this camera.
It should work about the same as in others. FWIW, I've seen a number of posts various places regarding building a setup to apply the one-per-frame perfs for 828, 126, or 110 film. It's apparently not rocket science, and getting unperfed 35 mm at worst involves slitting from 120 (should get a 24 exposure roll from a 120).
This camera needs perfs it seems. Going unperfed would just have the camera advance the roll to the end. It's a weird semi-automatic camera. You pull this tab on a line to wind up the mech and when you load the film it automatically advances to frame 1. After each shot it'll advance a frame automatically until the wind runs out.
