What's your latest new old camera? (Part 1)

Not really a camera, I just got a Leica Stemar kit, I'm loving it. Easy to use- very little post processing as with other 3D solutions. No special slides needed etc. It's out getting a CLA now and I can't wait to get it back to shoot some more with it.

I guess you'd describe it that way? It has two lenses in a single mount. There is an optional prism attachment that increases the inter-occular distance. BTW that's actually a poor example-expired 400 speed crap print film and not a great exposure. I was in a hurry to see what it could do!

A while back I bought a bag of stuff on Craigslist. Pentax Spotmeter V, Super Takumar 200mm f/4.0, Pentax 6x7 original model body with finder cap but no lens/finder. The shutter locked up on the 6x7, so I got another MLU body on eBay, that showed up yesterday and doesn't like any of the batteries I had waiting for it. So, hopefully with a brand new battery it will fire.

Nobody needs two paperweights that big...

I'm waiting for a 3.25" x 4.25" Auto Graflex with a 8.25" Goerz Dagor. The seller is including five slotted film holders and two boxes of J and C 400 film that he says were frozen since he puchased them. I already have ten of the film holders that I accidentally bought when I was looking for 2.25" x 3.25 holders and didn't read the description carefully. They were in such nice condition that I decided to keep them, since I didn't have a lot of money in them. I hope the film is still good so I don't need to start cutting down 4x5 film right away.

a J. Lancaster & Son 1902 Brass Bound Instantograph 1/4 plate with Rapid Rectinlinear 5x4 Optimus lens (sadly the camera has no back and plate holders and the lens has no Waterhouse stops included) I bought this setup for the lens to use on a Speed Graphic some time in the future. Though I have been playing around with idea to make a back that can take standard 4x5 holders (though will still produce a 1/4 plate sized image on the film, but that idea didn't go further than a cardboard proof of concept mockup, the GG part has me stumped.

That's a great description of that camera. Goofy, would be the other (I love em, but they make you look hilarious photographing handheld in public)

I'm about to pull the trigger on a full ETRSi system after I sell the M7II kit. I did just get an older pinhole 4x5 though.

Went to a photo show last Saturday and came away with;

A postwar Zeiss 515/16 Nettar with the 75 f6.3 lens in a 3 speed Vario shutter. Clean and working.

A basket case Olympus Pen D2 with a dented filter ring and broken off casting on one side. This is where the back slips into the groove, the outer part forming the groove was broken off. I fixed the dented filter ring and replaced the missing casting with a piece of 1/20 inch aluminum stock attached to the body by 2-56 screws. Now all I have to do in replace the light sealing foam.

A LNIB Kenko 180 degree .16X aux. fisheye. This is a glorified door peephole. It came with a 52mm adapter. Already ordered stepping rings for other sizes. (Some folks say they used these for HAL's eye in '2001, A Space Odyssey. I don't know if that is true or an urban myth.)

No, I don't buy off ebay because I never buy equipment I haven't handled, I bought if off an old friend who's a retired pro he bought it as a backup when he was working and it's still in the box mint and unused, we agreed a fair price for it and it's mine !

P.S The one you mention on ebay's motor drive wouldn't work in the U.K because it's 110V D.C. we're on 240V A.C. in the U.K

Off the cuff, perhaps it is listed that way on ebay (I've not seen the item, but I've seen bad ebay listings). Also, being from the U.K., it is very understandable if he is not familiar with the U.S. power grid.
I'm pretty sure the U.K. uses 50Hz whereas we have 60Hz.

I can be pedantic and comment on the voltage a strobe sees in a battery-operated flash, and that is DC.

The charger is clearly marked 120v which is the nominal voltage for the US grid but its AC not DC and the camera itself operates off batteries. The charger can run off Euro voltage and frequency with a simple converter, but my original question was if he was a bidder or buyer was answered.
