I'm not buying any film for the foreseeable future, I recently looked in my film freezer and did an inventory and I need to use more of what I have.

Ordered today from B&H, 100 sheets 8x10 Ilfospeed #2 RC Pearl surface. Delivery estimated in two weeks. I am upgrading my darkroom space. This paper is for contact proofing of rolls, and as a starter for returning to the B&W darkroom after 20 years. I did not want VC paper at this point, that can come later.

my latest find, a pristine Kodak Reflex tlr, 620 film. I am very amazed that the slow speeds work and focus is smooth. The glass is like new and the insides are dust free I can't say enough about this camera. I have too many cameras now but ( my wife ) pointed it out to me and said I really should look at this camera. That really is unusual since I am getting hints that I should downsize.. This is my first post and I have no idea how to post a photo.

I am back, I forgot to ask a question. The kodak Reflex has only a rewind spool and a depression for the film to lay in, and feed out as the advance knob is turned. Does this mean you can use 120 film and rewind back to the 120 spool??

I shot a couple of sheets yesterday. Both at EI 50. One developed for 7 minutes, the other for 10. After examining them, It looks like normal time could be around 7 minutes with Pyrocat-HD (10ml+10ml+500ml) 21C. Tubes. I was shocked to see that both sheets' shadows were VERY thin. Today, I exposed more sheets under my enlarger, with a Stouffer 31 stepwedge. I'll draw up some curves and then field test for real...WHEN IT STOPS SNOWING!!!

In Germany it's currently near impossible to find Kodak RA4 paper. And the one shop, which I used before and that cuts rolls into boxes of sheets, is out of it as well. That might have to do with Tetenals insolvency.

Kodak colour chemistry isn't available for non-commercial buyers here, meaning Ag-Photographic in the UK is my only source. I was planning to decide later on a possible switch to Fuji chems, available here, but Brexit may result in the Kodak option to become difficult or even impossible to source. Before I might regret it in the future I decided to order a box of Flexicolor developer and a box each of Ektacolor Developer and Blix now. Together with the open boxes from my first order that should last a while, years probably.

With more than half of my original box of Kodak Endura Premier sheets consumed, I used the opportunity to add a 20"x88m roll to the order and it has already been confirmed that the shipment is on its way. Cut sheet is more convenient, but I'm sure I'll manage. All I'm really missing for the operation is a holder for the roll. A floor stand for workshop paper towel rolls (blue rolls, commonly used here) might be the way to go.

Interesting you use both TMY-2 and Delta 400. I like the Kodak film very much but Delta 400 can be more straightforwardly available (and cheaper) in the UK.

I’m leaving for a month-long trip to Europe tomorrow and wanted to stock up on some 120 film (400) before going. Yodobashi had exactly two rolls of Delta 400, and that’s it for black and white. BIC Camera has gotten rid of its film section entirely. Even in Tokyo last week, the Yodobashi store was hard pressed to give me more than five rolls of any film. If they can’t keep stock, then why not order more? Clearly there’s a demand. Sorry for the rant, it’s just frustrating, as this is a constant problem here in Kyoto, a city that attracts a lot of photographers. Hopefully I can find some stores selling film while I’m there, the good news is that Ilford products are cheaper in most places that I’m going to, so that’s a bonus.

So, yeah, two rolls of film.

I know the feeling-it's really frustrating sometimes, finding film here in Cumbria can be tough. It's either mail order or stock up at Stills (Edinburgh) or Mr Cad when I go to London (very handily located just round the corner from Victoria Station).
