I usually stop the rotary processor, grab the tank and snap it away from me, the clips make an awful sound like they are going to break. How do you remove your cog lid tank, is there a knack to it?

I typically slightly lift the bottom of the tank and pull outward, but I don't yank it out. It still makes that alarming sound; don't think you will get away from that...

When it stops making that sound, then you worry!

Find a replacement set to have on hand; at least it is a good insurance policy.

Ouch! Replacement white retaining clips are very expensive, you get more plastic in a soda bottle top.

Yes, the price for exact Jobo replacements is absurd. While I can't speak to their performance, there are 3d printed alternatives available:

My lift clips are in good condition and I was fortunate enough to have an extra pair that came with the unit. To answer your original question, I lift gently from the back of the tank (straight up) until the clips release. They do make a snapping sound.

True, true... I'd explore the 3D printed options first, but sometimes you have to just take the hit.
