Whats the correct way to remove the cog lid tank from a jobo lift processor without breaking the white retaining clips?

I usually stop the rotary processor, grab the tank and snap it away from me, the clips make an awful sound like they are going to break. How do you remove your cog lid tank, is there a knack to it?

I typically slightly lift the bottom of the tank and pull outward, but I don't yank it out. It still makes that alarming sound; don't think you will get away from that...

When it stops making that sound, then you worry!

Find a replacement set to have on hand; at least it is a good insurance policy.
