The next “Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day 2017” (WPPD2017) is at hand: Sunday April 30th, 2016.

So NedL and I would like to ask you all to post a link here to your pinhole photograph from that day, as soon as you uploaded it to the WPPD Gallery (see also: http://www.pinholeday.org/participate/). You could also post some images here, if you like.

And remember: you have still ample time to tinker up a simple pinhole camera and get some film or photo paper to shoot with. Need help, tips or inspiration? Check this out: http://www.pinholeday.org/support/

What is WPPD-2017 about?
New to pinhole photography or WPPD?
“Anyone, anywhere in the world, who makes a pinhole photograph on the last Sunday in April, can scan it and upload it to this website where it will become part of the annual Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day celebration's online gallery.” http://www.pinholeday.org
There will be several workshops all around the world on this day. You don’t have to have experience or a pinhole camera yourself, there are often extra cameras available to use (but ask in advance). You can locate a local event here: http://www.pinholeday.org/events/index.php

Sincerely,
The Ambassadors of Pinhole Photography

This usually falls around my birthday every year, and every year I plan to shoot something on the day, and every year something derails me from doing so. But this I'm going to do it! I don't have a plan yet, but I have more than enough pinhole cameras to try and shoot on that day!

I plan to put APUG in the group space so anyone searching that keyword will find my image

Lat year I shot a few exposures with a homemade pinhole on my 8X10 camera - I screwed the images up because (unbeknownst to me) the sun was shining on the pinhole and caused some really bad flair. I'll be a tad more careful this time.

I was planning to participate this year with a digital pinhole but unfortunately,I will be on a flight to Europe and nowhere close to my cameras.

That is just before a big three week trip, so probably not this year.

I'm planning on loading and shooting all of my pinhole cameras! They've been inactive for way too long.

In anticipation, I ordered a few pinholes for a couple of old cameras I want to convert. One of them is an old Spartan 120. I also ordered a new Noon 6X6-6X9-6X12 camera I am excited to try out. Unfortunately, they won't be here in time so they will be for next year's event.
For now, I have pinhole camera caps for my Olympus OMs as well as M39 for my barnack-types. I'm considering a trip to the beach and local pier for some morning shots. I'll be running one with color and one with B&W so that's 2 rolls of 35mm I will need to burn. Trying to decide on a side trip as well.

I'll be shooting my Travelwide with the pinhole lens. I just got a custom ground glass for it and I'd like to try it out. It's springtime here and I think we need to show some color. I'll slice a sheet of expired 8x10 Portra 400 I have in the freezer into four 4x5 sheets and use those. I'll take some Tri-X 320 as well. I'm thinking of heading to downtown to look for something identifiable about Columbus. It's supposed to rain. Bummer... or maybe not. There's not much about a plastic camera with a pinhole lens that can get hurt by a little water.

Dunno what I'll do. But will try to do something

I'm headed to a workshop at the local community darkroom with my Lensless 4x5. I had hopped to get enough time over the last few weeks to build an 11x14 camera but time ran short. Who knows maybe I'll get lucky and steal a little time to make the 11x14.

I'll load my RealitySoSubtle 6x17, Ondu 6x6, converted Agfa Clack and then some ....

As of yesterday I have loaded five 8x10 holders with Fuji XR-T x-ray film and made a new pinhole and installed it in the camera. (The 1-mil brass shim stock of the previous pinhole cracked last year.) The new pinhole is slightly larger -- f/250 vs f/275 -- I'll have shorter exposures! :D

Still haven't decided where I'm going to take it though ...

We will load a dozen or more tin cans and have fellow photo club members shoot with us, then we all come to our house and my wife and I will help everyone develop their film. Using xray film instead 9f paper negatives.

Going to give my homemade 5X7 a go. Have to load paper at home so only 2 or 3 shots that day.

Load them up ~ it's this Sunday !!
