So, yesterday was very eventful.

Not only did I manage to score another 100 foot roll of 160NC in 70 mm, but I have a friend that went to a photographers liquidation sale, and in among the many many many films this guy had in deep freeze, was a roll of 2006 70mm 2424 aerographic infrared film! In exchange for me cutting 30 rolls of 120 (about half the roll), I get to keep the rest! I’m actually pretty hyped to get some of this stuff, I’ve been looking for a roll for years now.

I couldn’t find any cheap Arca Swiss 110 lens boards. There used to be so one in Europe that 3D printed them and sold them for $12 or so. I guess the tariffs cut off the US as customers. I found some models on Thingiverse but the design was weird which made them way more expensive to print using printing services. So last night I built a 3D model, and this morning I ordered a test print through Treatstock for $12 shipped.

The test print lens board fit perfectly (yay for $10 harbor freight calipers!) so I ordered 8 more lens boards--1 copal #3, 3 copal #1, and 4 copal #0 to start moving lenses from linhof boards.

I also bought a Arca Swiss 5x7 conversion kit, which include a 5x7 rear format frame and a 5x7 to 141mm bellows.

I just ordered on Amazon a set of 10 ml measuring injectors and a quart of glycerol for experimenting with mc-glycerol developer based on Gainers original formula (1994) using metol and ascorbate with sodium carbonate. These are used in ratio: metol 0.2g, ascorbic acid 2.0g, and monohydrate of sodium carbonate 6g per quart of water. The metol and ascorbic acid will be dissolved in very hot glycerine and the sodium carbonate solution will be stored separately. Will use 100 ml glycerol with 10g ascorbic acid and 1 gram metol in a supersaturated solution used at 50 to 1 with a premixed solution of 6g monohydrated sodium carbonate per quart of water to mimick the original Gainer formula, which I find works very well.

Just bought a Graflex Grafmatic "6-shooter" 4x5 film magazine. A very clever device. Not sure if I'll use it much or not yet, but figured for $100 I'd try it out. Prior to that, grabbed a TTartisan 27mm 2.8 for Fuji X on Amazon - possibly a mispricing - a mint returned lens for $26! Love the lens for street photography - it is very sharp, with a bit of vignetting that is easy to correct if desired.

I've got six of those (all but one with working frame number wheel). I'd like them more if my Speed Graphic had an original Graflok back instead of the less robust retrofit I was able to obtain. I've also got a couple in 2x3 film and mount size, for my Century and RB67, though I haven't tried them yet.

they're great when space is at an absolute premium, like when I'm carrying a 4x5 on my motorcycle. They can fit 6 sheets in the space that the normal film holders can only fit 4. I have 3 4x5 and 2 6x9.

I have a kit that maximizes what I can fit--Toho camera, mini tripod, WA Dagor 90, G-Claron 150, Kodak Ektar 210, and three grafmatics. Thats good for 18 shots on a 3 day ride. Longer rides I'll keep 6 double-dark film holders in another saddlebag to give me a total of 30 shots. I augment that with another small camera for off-the cuff shots.

Better than that, by a bit. I have a film holder pouch that's made to carry 4 film holders, and it happily holds three Grafmatics -- that's 18 sheets in the space of 8.
