All the chemicals to mix up dk50. Been using hc110 dilution C 1:19, in my deep tank setup which was a direct replacement for dk50 straight. Just wanting to try the old standby dk50. See if there are any actual differences besides always having the chemicals on hand to mix it up.

Whoops I did it again: Rolleiflex Automat K4 in as-close-to-mint condition as could be expected for a 70 year old camera. Shutter, glass and internal mechs wonderful. It looks like it was hardly ever used but is smooth. Coated Xenar.

Indeed....like you Chuck I've for a long time used more LF & MF....but these days brought back the 35mm.... small prints (up to 11x14) are pretty fine especially with modern films.... a fine carry around point & shoot.... & unbelievable buld quallity. It just arrived yesterday.....so i'll be processing test film this afternoon.

She prefers Tri-X?
😆 Nope. Once I showed her the price of a 10 sheet box of Tri-X...$218 Cdn!!! (and there is probably the retched tariff on top, and of course taxes, and shipping), she became a fan of HP5...in 25 sheet boxes.

If you don't have one, find a clean 21mm f/4 Color-Skopar in LTM for that camera. It's life changing. You have to watch for haze on these lenses because it often cannot be removed, but if clear ones can still be found.

Yes! I have a 21 Color Skopar.....& in LTM too.....I had the M version (came with the Leitz finder!) but sold it & got the LTM. Brilliant lens.

Hehe. I am working through almost 200 negatives shot with an M2 in Greece the last couple of weeks, among which included some shot with that 21mm and an adapter ring.

And you're right - the state of the art for 35mm has come leagues since I first down fell down the photography rathole in the early 1970s. The combination of new films and carefully tuned developers makes really fine results possible. Within the last few years, I had occasion to both make use of Super XX as well as developing more modern films in DK-50. You really see the limitations that older film and developers imposed.
