The Bronica Model E 6x4.5 back arrived today, lol, I almost sent it back because I thought it was broken. On The 6x6 back there’s a small button that you press to switch from 12 to 24 (120 to 220) exposure and on the 6x4.5 back the button slides. I thought the button was frozen or maybe broken and not returning. It’s also a little confusing because instead of switching between 120 and 220 which would be 16 vs. 32 exposures you have S and F. You shoot in S regards of whether you have loaded 120 or 220 and at the end of the roll switch to F to complete siding the roll onto the take up spool. Not much info on the Internet about these backs and ironically once I figured it out I reread the instructions and it actually says to slide the button up. Guess I should learn how to read an instruction manual.

Roger

@Roger Thoms butkus.org has the manual for the Bronica Model E 6x4.5 film back here. Enjoy the S2.

I just ordered two holders for the Fisheye bayonet filters. Then I started ordering 95mm filters. The GAS pressure is high and I just keep buying things. This is so much fun.

nikkor-s auto 50mm 1.4

My main lens was previously a 28-50mm for years but this lens blows it completely out of the water ,more on the depth of field aspect. I mustve went through 10 rolls of film since ive had it .

Super Komura 50mm f3.5 in nice condition for the Bronica S2/S2A. It will be interesting to see just how bad this lens really is. 🙂

I picked up in like new condition a Graflex 3Cell Flash Gun with a 7" reflector to go with my 4x5 Crown Graphic. Now all I have to do is find the box with the big 3B flash bulbs in it.

Two sets of Nikon Bayonet A2, B2, O56 Orange [13/15/16mm] filters. It cost more to return one than keep it. I will soon put it up for sale on Photrio Classified in a lens case. I will also have an extra Orange. Contact me if you are interested.

I been watching ebay for awhile looking for replacement rear lens caps for my Bronica EC-TL 50mm and an extra cap for the 200mm (loose). But the prices were $50+ per cap. I found an Etsy shop that could 3D print what I needed plus (2) 120 film cases. I'm happy with both.

Peter Mrhar's book, Easy Digital Negatives (to learn how to make enlarged digital negatives for hand coated alt prints) which upon first perusal isn't all that easy, but seems "easier" than my copy of Digital Negatives with QuadToneRIP by Reeder and Anderson.

I bought an LED light for my darkroom, ordinary lighting nothing special. I have an Apo Summicron ASPH 90mm f 2.0 on order, used from Roberts, I've been saving my money for a mad purchase, this is it! 😍

Lots of Sodium Sulfite, Metol, Sodium Acetate and Ferric Oxalate... My shelving has run out of room!
Hey, fellow BC'er...

Do you order from Argentiix, special order Photographers Formulary stuff through Beau Photo, or from somewhere else?

Checked Argentix today and they appear to be out of both gold chloride and silver nitrate.

I order from Argentix. Email Jacques about the gold chloride. I've asked him about stuff that he was out of, and he got it in for me. Eventually, I'll be needing some silver nitrate...

Could you convince the powers that be to allow you to mix up your own film developer for your classes? Something like D-76?

I wouldn't have to do any convincing as the powers that be are clueless as to what I do 😄 But because the wee bit of a budget that I get each year, also has to go to the ceramics course that I teach... the price of clay and glazes is worse than film and processing chems... I have to find a balance. They have no issue buying NEW football helmets every year, though! When I played high school football (77, 78), my helmet was new in 1967! 😁

Very smart black 1967 Nikon F body with TN finder. It clearly hasn't seen much use and despite its 55 years feels like new. Bought on a whim, following some eBay sales and a few quid in the bank! I'm sure it will outlast me....

Bet you could save money on developer if you mixed your own :whistling:

Okay, I'm going to call this photo related -- I can't run my scanner on my laptop, after all, nor does it have room for my large capacity platter hard disk:

I bought an obsolete model motherboard to replace the apparently failed one in my desktop computer; found a refurbished used unit for under $70 with free shipping from China, but the bad news is it'll take between two and six weeks from date of order (a few days ago) to arrive.

Two of my 86mm filters got stuck together. Steve's Camera in Culver City California freed them up at no charge. I have one wrench filter for smaller filters so I ordered two sets of four wrenches that go up to 95mm.
