Err, just bought an auction lot for £30 (so probably £50 with fees and shipping) and got:

An original wooden Kodak Film Tank with the levers and parts inside. Looks to be in great condition. What a lovely piece of photography history.

A Sankyo ES-44 Super 8 camera in box.

Some lenses and what may be a teleconverter or two.

It's going to be a big box and I have no idea how I'm going to sneak THIS one in the house.

I was just in Tokyo for the World's Used Camera Fair (not too sure about the "world" in the title, as it's only Japanese sellers, but that's neither here nor there) and got myself a very nice black Nikon FM3a and a 50mm f/1.4AiS lens to go with it. I also was able to pick up numerous accessories for my Rolleiflex (some Bay II filters and lens caps), lens straps, and a huge variety of film - one of my goals this year is shoot more films that I have never tried before, so the fair was a good place to pick some up (plus some old favourites, as the prices here were a bit more favourable than in the big shops).

I just pulled the trigger on a clean-looking 1268 4x5 Grafmatic, with working counter. I'll get at least one more of these over time, they're what make a press camera like a Speed Graphic really do what it was made for.

The OTHER camera manufacturer of Wetzlar ...

leidolf.jpg

A Leidolf Unimatic 707 with rangefinder, selenium meter and 50/2.8 with box, instructions and case -- all with mint appearance and working except, alas, the shutter only clicks with no movement. I will have to get in there and clean things up. Unfortunately, getting to the shutter from the rear is pretty much impossible on this camera. The retaining rings only have one slot (?) so a normal spanner is useless and there is no room for one anyway. I will have to do a frontal assault.

A "pending purchase" (taken in to The Lab, here in Vancouver, this afternoon, for processing): 10 rolls of 120 E100G, 13 rolls of 35mm E100G/VS. and 13 rolls of 35mm Tri-X/HP5+ (love them both). Film would be ready this afternoon (one of many advantages of living in a major city), but other obligations for the balance of today, as well as tomorrow, intervene, so I'll be picking up the works Friday am.

An auction site purchase, Agfa Billy Clack 74 (6x9), "For display" condition.
Dirty viewfinders, and some grime on the film door, but the moving bits seem good.
Interesting flipable internal "portrait" extra lens, not sure how much would this allow? No T shutter setting, but there is a provision to hold B, not quite sure what the sequence is yet.

Love the nickel metal finish.

Plywood. I went to my local Lowes, they have a nice panel saw. A very very nice young fellow cut my pieces to order. My it's good to have such nice service. Cheered me up.

Yesterday I ordered a set of six spare septums ("may need minor straightening" but the one edge of each in the photo looks very good) for 4x5 Grafmatic -- the ones in the magazine I just bought are a little bent in the film guides, and it'll be nice to be able to start from a dozen to try to fix up six to load and cycle smoothly -- and/or to have spares for the coming accumulation of one or two more Grafmatics.

A total of $394 worth of processing. A bit of a bite, but nice to have the backlog cleaned up. Really, I should have done the black and white myself, but.... I was much relieved to find that my P/B 01/14 E100G (120) and E100G/VS has thus far shown no discernable color shifts. I store color film at -20C until just before use. I bought 2 cases of 120 E100G, 300 plus rolls of 35mm E100G, and 175 rolls (?) of 35mm E100VS shortly before, and immediately following, Kodak's discontinuation of Ektachrome in 2012. Delighted beyond all reason when Ektachrome returned! Looking into my freezer this am, I have four propacks and three loose rolls of 120 E100G remaining, 7 rolls of 35mm E100G, and 5 rolls of 35mm E100VS remaining. I've already tried the new E100 in 35mm, and should be switched over to the new emulsions by May, barring, of course, any further COVID lockdowns.

Just splurged on another photobook. Found a new copy of "Intimations of Paradise: Photographs by Christopher Burkett" from a third party seller on Amazon. The price was quite steep, but if what I hear about the production qualities of this book is true I think it will be money well spent.

Just the other day, I purchased a ground glass spring focusing screen and hood assembly for a 4x5 Graflok back. My Annie Speed is going to get an upgrade (already have a Graflok mount on an electron microscope camera body I don't use), for better Grafmatic operation and eventually a LomoGraflok Instax back.
