OK, getting more serious now that the new home with the fully-finished 12x14 dedicated darkroom is going to be built. All of the walls and ceiling will will be insulated, sheet rocked, finished and painted along with vinyl flooring and molding, lighting, outlets on all four walls, switched exhaust, electrical, plumbing, and built-in cabinets (one with a 36 sink base). I don't need a really long sink as most of my processing is done with either a Phototherm Super Sidekick 8 for film (mostly 6x7 and 4x5), a Fujimoto CP32 with wash/dry and replenishment unit for prints upto 11x14, and a CPP2 for one-offs, but I'll still have room on the wet side which is 12-feet long total to do occasional tray processing.

For water temp control I've been gazing for a very long time at the Delta control panels, but I came across this Intellifaucet K375 unit that was just too good to pass up for a few hundred bucks (they go for $1150 USD new). I think this will fit the bill nicely to which I'll add in-line filtration.

I've used one before, but never owned one. Nikon 55-300mm f/4.5 Autozoom AI-s. Local dealer had this on eBay, and I picked it up this AM. No dust, etc., just a small chip in the finish near the filter ring. Even has the original lens cap. I know they're a bit heavy, but the results in the past were more than satisfactory.

Fomapan 400 is my new favorite film. Shot over half of the 30,5m roll and love it. Especially I love it pushed currently!

I like Fomapan-it has a nice 'old style emulsion' look. Also bought some more 35mm Fujicolour C200.

I have larger scales with +/1 0.1g accuracy.

Balances with 0.01 mg accuracy always make me laugh a bit, as it is pretty meaningless unless you are in an exceptionally well controlled environment. Even 0.1 mg accuracy is highly unreliable in normal circumstances due to minute air currents and residual static left on the balance plate/sample from your hands/clothes.

Paper: different sizes Foma fibre and RC and a box of Ilford Pearl Postcard 6x4
Darkroom: Foma fixer and paper developer.

All set for the Postcard Exchange Round 48! Bring it on!

Just pulled the trigger on an RHDesigns Analyzer Pro.... Firmware is level is 6.4 - not sure if its worth sending off for a firmware upgrade (7.0) and what a later firmware version would add.

I don't know if they are still serviced, but the website makes me think that they are. I had been considering buying a new one, but the used one I bought was is very good shape and saved me over $100USD in shipping and accessories (foots witch etc).

Yes, they are on the pricy side, but many swear the cost is made up in the (virtual) elimination of test strips, material savings, and most of all - frustration. I take it as sort of a zone-control system for B&W printing in a digital box: simply meter the highlight, meter the shadow area, get the right (or very close) exposure (almost out of the box with Ilford MG RC but need to calibrate a bit for other papers), and easily shift (widen or compress) dynamic range (dial in the filter and it adjusts the exposure time automatically). Sounds pretty nifty to me, so I'm going to give it a go. I hear the calibration process can take a bit of time and effort with non-standard papers but well worth the effort from the many reviews I've read.
