Wasn't a "purchase' more like a back alley trash find.. Last year my vintage 1970's velbon tripod broke and I was left without any way to support or steady the Holga camera. went almost 1 year searching for another tripod and I didn't like what I was seeing. walking down the ally, I spotted a mannequin head stand without the mannequin head attachment. The adapter was broken so I suspect this was why it was in the trash in the alley. Taking the stand (which looks like a tripod folded up) i was able to cut off the broken section of the adapter and attach me Pergear ball joint head. Now that I'm ready again, just purchased 2 rolls of the Lomochrome 120 ISO:100-400 color film just in time for the early fall colors.

A beautiful late model ZI Super Ikonta A 531 with coated Tessar lens, with, of course, vanished frame lines in viewfinder...a common fault with these cameras. When closed, about half the size as my Fuji 6x4.5 folder.

Originally posted on 1st Sept then removed because I had then not actually received it from the seller. but the most recent purchase was a Nikon F6 which is to all intents and purposes new.

The box has been opened but as far as I can tell there has never been a film through the body which is Indicated by the film counter on the MF Back which is reading zero.

Nikon Europe are a bit reticent about dating the age of a body by the serial number which is as far as I can tell a very late number (00355**) As close as I can vaguely get is around 2015/2016

It really is unmarked and the plastic internal cover over the shutter curtain was still in place. It cost me a bit under £1000 from a dealer with whom I have done business with for years.

From the number of good F6's on sale today I could make an instant profit on this one were I minded to sell it, but I sold my last one for a good profit then regretted it almost immediately. I am not about to make the same mistake again.

Mint condition Fujinon A 9/240 in black Copal shutter.

My plan is for this lens to be able to stand in as a replacement for my 5.6/210 & 9/300 lenses. The weight/space saving in the pack will then allow inclusion of either a 6.8/115 or 5.6/72 lens in addition to my standard 4.5/90, 5.6/150 and 12.5/450. That should make for a seriously versatile kit.

Film for my Zeiss Ikon Box Tengor that I had just purchased. Still experimenting with how to use the camera but really like it!

I snapped a couple nights ago and have an Nikon 85mm 1.4 Ai-S coming from Japan, a pretty one, with the spun aluminum original hood. I have a perfectly good version of this as AF-D, no good reason.

Nikkor 85 f/1.4 AIS?
Well done! 👍
Those are very G.A.S.-inducing. 😄
I have one on my F3HP/MD-4.
Great combination.

A Gitzo double cable release on eBay from a fellow member here, a Pentax Right Angle device, and, not a purchase but an 11 x 14 inch drum dryer from a fellow member here, that I and my Rozeann drove up to Pennsylvania from Charlotte, NC, no on a four day hunt for photographs worth taking.

Lots of fun.

A $40 USD late production model Nikon F body I bought to learn how to do basic repairs. After a minor amount of cleaning and essentially no disassembly it work pretty much perfectly and looks great. The upper shutter speeds are off and I am temped to tear it down to pull out the shutter box, but that involves lifting leatherette which ... I've never done before.

It's the table top model, which, Rich A, had put up for free in the classified forum.

I'm not in a position to make any new shots but if you go to the "free" section of the classified ads, you see the shots by Rick A about four post down.

Cheers

Bought a bunch of empty film canisters with some tongue for bulk loading. I bought of some of those plastic reloadable ones with the screw tops at first and had nothing but problems with them. Caps coming off and exposing whole rolls, felt coming off and getting into the camera or scratching the film, canisters that wouldn't turn properly so I couldn't advance the film, etc. They were awful. Excited to try bulk loading with something that will actually work.
