I used a range finder with my Voigtländer Vito IIb when I first started using it with ISO 64 film but ended up estimating the distance and using a smaller aperture to get the greater depth of field as a safety margin. Using ISO 400 film eliminated the need for a range finder.
Optical Printing? Is that traditional wet room printing?
Yes.
Hopefully one day. I have quite a few b/w negs that look great on the computer but never optically printed. It’s the not knowing and that itch to know that bothers me.
Harvey Milk Photo Center has a nice public darkroom that is reasonable priced. This is where I print, as I’m a renter, so putting in a darkroom isn’t really an option for me. https://www.harveymilkphotocenter.org/

A few rolls of 120 Svema/Astrum Foto 100. Looks really nice and seems to be coated by them too
I just bought a darkroom sink off a retired Kodak photographer. I had to drive 6 hours but he also gave me his other darkroom equipment (and the price was right) so it was very worth it!
