Thanks @Donald Qualls I have been enjoying 8x10 for about 15 years off and on as I could afford film, but lately have sold, and am selling off, unused equipment and consolidating what I have, so a bit of cash available again. It's more the time difficult to get right now.

A used BTZS darkcloth (8x10) from a seller on the forum here and a couple boxes of HP5+ (8x10). Now to get out on a day off to explore the county around here.

I've been using my BTZS focusing hood for over 20 years. It's all beaten up, and the rubberised coating has long since pealed off, but still does the job. I'm kind of glad the coating wore off. The hood would sometimes freeze stiff on cold days. Now it can't lol!

View attachment 297552 Bought some more Rollei RPX 400, think I got the last at $6.99 a roll, seem it’s jumped to $7.99 everywhere, at least in the US. Also picked up some Ilford Selenium toner and Kodak Hypo-Clear. All delivered to my door the same day via courier from GlassKey Photo here in San Francisco. How cool is that!!!

Roger
That's awesome. My local camera store closed up, I still have lunch on Fridays with the shop owner. Go GrassKey!

Just splurged on a new D&K Selector III tacking iron which will replace my $10 Craigslist tacking iron that finally died. In the meantime our clothes iron worked just fine. :D

Just picked up a Lloyd bulk loader missing the crank for ten bucks plus shipping. It'll go with the Watson without crank that I bought last week (both will have new cranks 3D printed).

I like the Lloyds loader. I have three (with cranks) loaded with Foma 100, Pan F+, and TriX, and I’m not shooting much 35mm any more.

I've ever used a Lloyds style. I've got five Watson style (two buried in a bin I haven't got room to unload) and another on the way (without crank), should be waiting at the Post Office now.

However, I have the files to 3D print the Lloyd style, so I might have more of them in the future. I need to redesign the body and film chamber cover so I can print one that takes 400 foot camera rolls, so I can buy cine film at decent prices.

I don't shoot that much 35 mm any more, either, but making it a little cheaper will encourage me (and besides, my everyday carry camera is 35mm, because it's very small and has an f/2 Xenon).

Bought a Nikon 80mm- 200mm AF-D zoom from a member here. I used this lens extensively back in the day with my F4, then sold it. The new lens is perfect and lots of fun, but now that I am somewhat (!) older I'm finding it difficult to hand-hold. What's next? a VR lens.

My tacking iron arrived today, quality looks nice, I’ll try it out this weekend.

Two 120 rolls each of Silberra Color 50 and Silberra Color 160. Just enough to get free shipping from B&H.

For those interested in these, several Silberra offerings were in stock when I looked around 3 PM EST.

A 127 film carrier that fits the 120 window in the stock carrier for several Epson models. Also a replacement crank for a Lloyd style bulk loader (what I paid for the loader and crank combined, even with double shipping, didn't exceed common eBay price plus shipping).

Fujinon XF 70-300mm lens, ordered yesterday.

These have been impossible to find for over a year. Still not 100% sure it's real...will have to a wait a week or so to find out...will only believe it when it's on my XT-2.

I've been looking for a second carbon fiber tripod. I own a Manfrotto 055 Pro, but I've had a longing for a Gitzo. However, the prices for the Mountaineer series have skyrocketed of late. I was scanning one of my favorite vendor's eBay site, and he had this used condition Gitzo GT1540G, along with a Gitzo GH1780GR head. Should be here next week.

"The story of Kodak" at my local library book sale, a large book, cheap.

Full of interesting tibits: G. Eastman did not like the ad man's write-ups for the early box camera. Too long, complicated, so he wrote a pictorial ad himself.
Also a whole chapter about color film chemistry.
Not much about cameras though.

My f/2.8 20mm to 35mm Nikon AF lens has gone rogue and left the scene so I replaced it with a f/2.8 20mm to 35mm Nikon AF-D lens. I also bought a few filter for various cameras for black & white photography.

Payday, so I ordered a bulk roll of Kodak 5222 (35 mm Double-X) from Ultrafine Online. Comes to about $6.50 a roll (assuming 17 rolls of 36), since I already have a loader for it and a stash of cassettes. Longer term, if it weren't twice the price this could replace Fomapan 400 -- finer grain, better tonality, and similar or slightly better true speed. We'll see how I feel about it after shooting and processing more than the single roll I've had in the past...
