12-led plant grow bulb for the temporary bathroom darkroom. It uses only 12 watts and emits only 660-670nm light so it is invisible to all Harman B&W papers. Tried it out in the bathroom with the lights off and HOLY CRAP IT'S BRIGHT. I'll be able to see a lot better than I was expecting.

Do you happen to have the manufacturer and part number for that bulb? At that wavelength, with suitable diffusion/attenuation, that might be usable for RA-4 safelight. It'd be better if it ran 680-690, but with the part number, I might be able to ask the manufacturer if they offer one in that color...

Donald,
They call it the "ABI PAR38 LED Grow Light". The closest I see to a part number is "PAR38-THRPY-A".

This is the listing from Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/ABI-Light-Th...jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

Here is the claimed light distribution:

Here's their contact info from their website:
ABI® LED Lighting is a division of JacobsParts Inc.
8227 Northwest Blvd Ste 120

Phone: 800-738-7120

By the way, I didn't mention it, but I have several of those cheap clamp-on lights from Home Depot that you recommended in the Harman Direct Positive Paper thread. This bulb is way too heavy for the clamp and it will not stay anywhere.

Hmm. Looks like a filter with a fairly sharp cutoff at 685 nm or so (long pass) would do both the color limitation and attenuation. Something like the "tobacco" filter for using a Thomas with color. I'd rather have a single one of those modules with emission peak around 690. Dim that enough and it wouldn't need filtration.

And then I bought some carbon fiber tube and rods, tiny screws, black ABS sheet, and super glue, for putting the B shutter setting and second aperture into my Holga (and replacing the screw that was in so tight the head stripped out getting it out) -- whole set of materials, far more than I need for one Holga, cost less than paying holgamods.com to do the conversion. I'll still have to order a cable release adapter from them, though, but I'd have to pay for that separately anyway.

And now, from the eBay ads below, I bought an Ensign Commando, 6x6/6x4.5 coupled RF, film plane focusing folding camera. Be here in a few weeks from Lithuania.

Do I have G.A.S.? Maybe...

Recently, I bought a Welta Weltini on eBay -- a tiny, folding 35mm RF, with f/2.9 50mm Cassar. Got it and discovered the shutter jams on firing and the RF doesn't seem to work (I'm pretty sure I can fix it when I have time). Today I bought another Weltini -- this time, listed as "serviced" with shutter and RF working, and with a 50mm f/2.0 Xenon lens -- the same lens that was top of the line on the Retina. Getting to be coat weather, looks like I'll have a good coat pocket camera. :D

My first darkroom paper! 25 sheets of Ilford MGRC glossy 5x7.

Now I have to choose the first 35mm negative to print since 1975 when my high school photography club spent a couple nights in the Bemidji State University darkroom.

I ordered a Discover Channel stereo camera (dual side by side half frames on 35mm, with mirrors separating the views for correct depth). Fixed-everything, may include a pop-up flash (seller didn't have a picture of that, but there's a hump and others I've seen of that commonly relabeled model have this). Not a great camera, but it'll produce stereo pairs with minimum effort.

Well, I've gone over to the other side. Used Nikon D810, Wein SafeSync so I can use it with my old macro flash rigs, and a cable release.
