Hmmmm....Black leather and chrome. It's like holding a hot looking motorcycle in your hands.

I really like the looks of the Exakta TLR

I may have said it before, but ..... The Voigtlander Vitessa L with the Ultron f2 50mm lens. It is a true chick magnet..... And a really pleasant shooter, to boot. What's not to like??

In 35mm I'd go with the Universal Mercury, then the Kodak Retina IIc, followed by the Zeiss Contessa, which I bought just because of its looks. Going beyond 35mm, the Bantam Special is the obvious choice, but I would have to go with many of the almost innumerable hand and stand cameras from the early 20th century. My Century 46 is the only camera I have that people ooh and aah over for purely aesthetic reasons.

The Bantam has long been one of my favorites, however impractical they might be to use these days. I want to have a collection of Art Deco cameras just to sit on the shelf. The Bantam, the Flexaret, and the viewmaster stereo cameras are very much my style.

Now that would be an ideal way for me to start a collection!
Uh oh - looks like I'v just tipped over onto the slippery slope into collecting!! :D

Most beautiful 120 TLR - Holga 120 TLR
Most beautiful 35mm Pano - Horizon Perfekt
Most beautiful 120 Pano - Holga 120 Pan

Hmm, who knew five out of seven on that list would be from Eastern Europe? Guess they know a thing or two about fine design.

p.s. in full disclosure, I own none of the above. Picking what we own borders on nepotism

I haven't owned one for more than 20 years but to me the most elegant classic 35mm S.L.R. is the Nikon F with the plain prism.

I might be the total weirdo here, but to me in 35mm its the Leica R8/9. A awesome combination with the 80mm f/1.4 Summilux!
