In the last month:

Finished a roll of Delta 400 in my Minox IIIs with outstanding results.

Finished two boxes of Impossible Spectra in my Polaroid Image 1200. I'm still learning how to use the camera's crude exposure compensation in bright and dark scenes. According to Polaroid's own service manual, there is no longer any fine control: it is just a switch that will give you +2/3, 0, -2/3. The Impossible film has improved over time, but tends to bloom easily on highlights. Sometimes this can be put to good artistic effect. Note: I am still keeping the film totally in the dark for at least an hour immediately after exposure. Nor sure if this is still necessary.

Lastly, just finished a roll of Ektar 100 in one of my F2's (74xxxx), using pre-AI 105/2.5 and 28/3.5 lenses. The prints are just amazing in their sharpness and bokeh (sorry can't show photos; I have no scanner).

<snip>

Sounds good.

Does your photolab offer scan-to-CD services? I don't have a scanner either, but have my analog stuff up on flickr. I just order a high-res CD scan of the negatives with processing and have them do no color correction, so I get whatever came off the film.

Might be worth checking into.

I'm still working through the roll of Superia 400 in the F and the roll of Ektar in the F2AS.

Yeah, they do offer CD's of the negatives, but I'm cheap. Cheap and weird. I have many thousands of prints already in albums and boxes, a few on the wall, and I know it would be a huge task to get that all online. CD's themselves, as well as hard disks, likely won't last 20 years, so what I should be doing (rather than just copying from media to media) is using the CD as just a means of storing the photos on some sharing service or Cloud.

I really should get a high quality scanner for 35mm and 6x6, 6x7, 6x9.

Yesterday pm: Shot a roll of E100VS of the fall colors with my F3HP, alternating between my 28 mm F2, 50mm F1.4, 85mm F1.4, and 180mm F2.8 ED Ais Nikkors.

Today: Shot a roll of HP5+ with one of my Soverized F2ASs, wandering around Barnet Marine and Rocky Point parks. Alternated between the 28mm and 50mm lenses.

Since July I've been using Ektar 100 in a trio of Exakta VX's, processed commercially.

Now I'm using Fuji200 in this VXIIa:

(lens is an Angenieux 28/3.5 retrofocus)

Even the slow speed and delay dial I use occasionally.

Rolleicord K2, Acros, developed in Ethol UFG (replenished). Testing how to advance the film since the internal film-stop-system does not work. And using greater agitation and time to build contrast compared to a prior roll of Acros shot in Plaubel W67 also developed in UFG.

Arista 400 Tri-x version @ 800 in D-76 stock for 10 min. F3 with MD-4, 50 1.8, 28 3.5 and a 135 2.8 Non-AI.

I know that Kodak says develop as normal but I'm wary when I push a stop so I give it the 'ol x1.5. Negs look great, I just scanned them all and now I need to invert and stuff. Good film.

Exposed 4 sheet of 11x14 and developed them . Good news, I found the sheets of exposed film I 'lost' a few years ago. Bad new -- double exposues are not always appreciated. Some more good new -- with the two set-up I did (two negs each), each one had one sheet that was not previously unexposed. Some more bad news -- now I have a partial box of 11x14 film with exposed and unexposed film in it and they are all mixed up.

But I have two good negs of Bill Owens at his home -- and that is good news.
