A favorite plate camera. The Sands & Hunter Exhibition 5x4; circa '82. The camera originally had the R. D. Gray Periscope No. 6 affixed, but I found it a bit longish for non-portrait work. Today it carries a nice lens that was made for R. H. McBean - Edinburgh. I do enjoy the convenience of not needing to manage Waterhouse stops in the field, and that it readily accepts the Thornton-Pickard shutter which simply slips onto the front. Saturday in the park gave varying results. The clouds couldn't decide where they wanted to be. Somewhat frustrating, but a good exercise. Ilford MGIV RC Glossy paper negatives developed in Dektol, which is usual.

Today I exposed a 36 exposure roll of Eastman Kodak XX in my Leica III, developed it in Kodak D-76 stock for 6.5 minutes. I also exposed a roll of Arista EDU Ultra 400 120 roll film in my little Agfa Isolette 1 with the 80mm f4.5 Agnar triplet. This was also developed in Kodak D-76 stock for 6.5 minutes. Used continuous agitation on my Jobo rollers.

Negatives look decent and I'll contact print sometime tomorrow.

4x5 Speed Graphic, Ilford FP4+ 125. Souped in my changing bag in sandwich trays. D76 stock (8:30 @ 23C) agitating gently first minute and :30 for every 1:00 thereafter. Just had room for Dev, stop, and fix trays in the bag. Good thing one can Hypo & rinse in daylight! Film was a touch underexposed, so the temp diff didn't hurt.

We've had a quite a bit of rain lately so the river (Huron) is up. Took my Nikon F100 and some TMax 100 down to Delhi Rapids. Films drying now. Might head back with my 4x5 tomorrow.

Olympus Stylus Epic with Tri-X. I developed it in my basement darkroom in D-76 straight. Sadly the D-76 was too old and both rolls (1 from this camera, 1 from another camera I have used for a long time,) came out with very low contrast and quite grainy.

My own fault, for not paying attention. But frame spacing on the new camera is nice and even and exposures look good (density comparable to the roll from the proven camera.) No light leaks seen. My free Stylus is a keeper!

The camera was a Bessaflex with a Super Takumar 1.8/55 on it.
The film was a Fortepan 400 Professional Extra exposed at EI 50 as it was expired 15 years ago.
Development in Ilfotec DD-X 4+1, 7 min 40 sec at 21 Celsius (based on the times of the Ilford PAN 400 - verified with a lead test)

Yesterday I used my Ensign Autorange 220, using the 66 setting, with Fomapan 400 and an orange filter, developed in Rodinal 1/50

I used the Hasselblad 503 CX and shoot Kodak Portra 400 and Kodak Tri-X. I sent out the color film because there were not enough rolls to make it worth mixing the C-41 chemicals. The Kodak Tri-X was processed in replenished XTOL in a Jobo processor.

As an experiment I taped the rear film counter window on the USCC Comet folding camera and loaded a 24 exposure roll of expired 35mm Kodak 200 ASA color negative film into it. The film shifted in the camera on the last two shots but it came out okay. Next time I do this I'll need to run 400 ASA film instead since the negatives came out a bit thin for my liking (underexposed). I dropped the film off at a local camera store and had it processed only and uncut.

Had the Hasselblad out this am (500 c/m w/50, 100, 180 and 250mm lenses) to shoot some architecture at the university. Walked over at 6am carrying my to-go of Starbucks Ethiopian; walked in the door about an hour ago. Shot seven rolls of PanF+ (clouds were playing "catch me," varying in detail, size, etc., so I experimented a bit with the red, orange and yellow filters). Film is currently sitting on the kitchen table awaiting my decision. Currently debating getting my nose into a book this afternoon...or souping some film. Most likely the book idea will win out and the PanF+ will join its HP5+, Tri-X, FP4+ and its siblings in the "to-do"queue and find its way into the deep-freeze until the rainy season starts in late October. There again, I may opt to take the backlog down to The Lab and let the good folks there soup it for me...

last camera i used was a western camera company cyclone #5 i used expired photo paper instead of film and it hasn't been developed yet ..

Off to Jasper National Park for the weekend to do some hiking and photography. So, along came the 500c/m bodies, some Zeiss glass and four A12 backs. By the end of today I had shot 5 rolls and a bit of PanF+ and a seven frames of E100G. The completed rolls of PanF+ will most likely go into the freezer until I get ambitious enough to start on my backlog of exposed (there again, I may just make a trek downtown to The Lab). The partial rolls will be double Ziplocked and stuck in the refrigerator until next weekend...
