Travelwide 90, 1 sheet of J&C 400 & 3 sheets of HP5+

Last negs were a bit dense so I used 1/250 @ f22 for the HP5+ (f16 for the J&C) in bright sunshine. That's 1 stop less exposure than previous shots.
Developed in HC-110 Replenisher of undetermined age. Diluted 1:30 @ 21C for 5min30secs
They look good hanging up

Need to work out how to use grafmatic on the Travelwide. Should make it more P&S than dealing with DDs whilst walking around.

Polaroid Colour Super Swinger, non working shutter ...

... dismantled it, removed the shutter, used a home-made ground glass to establish the proper film plane, fashioned a lens cap from duct tape and cardboard, put an Ilford HP3 quarter plate in (manufactured 1946/7) and made that sit tight with a piece of foamcore.

Guessed by eye that the "3000 speed" aperture was f/22, guessed a fall of 1 stop in speed per decade for the plate and exposed it for 16 seconds.

Developed in home-made Parodinal diluted somewhere between 1:25 and 1:200 for something like 12 minutes.

Needs more work ...

I just bought one of those Chinese make-it-yourself cameras - £7.99! - which I am in the process of running a test film through. The camera actually works which I find quite amazing - apart for the device which tells you when you have advanced one frame: I am doing that by guesswork. It has my usual Agfa Vista in it and I shall be taking it to Snappy Snaps later this morning for developing - not sure how they will cope with the erratic frame spacing, mind.

I had one of those, but somehow lost it when out walking. I don't regret losing the camera but there was a fully exposed roll in it. Its somewhere out on the downs, probably been trodden underfoot by cattle and sheep.
The lens had an interesting "quality" ...

Nikon S2, Delta 3200 pushed to 6400, D76 (stock)

Pics were of my family (& extended family) roasting marshmallows around a fire pit after dark. I developed it last night after developing two rolls of Tri-x and two rolls of HP5.

It'll be a little while before I get to the film, but just returned from a solo backpack trip over Thanksgiving (Wed - Sun) along Redwood Creek. Many cold creek crossings (sandals, no socks), clear skies, but only an hour of sun on me on Thursday and again on Friday. My hike-in was at the beginning of a rare cold spell...clear skies but no wind. Hiking part way out on Saturday, I had no sun on me that day, much of the ground frozen, and I do not think the creek water had warmed up any! Full moon. I did not take a tent and had a fire one night...so enjoyed the changing light of the other nights. Salmon "doing it" in the creek, otters swimming by, a bald eagle low overhead one morning, noisy kingfishers and fresh bear tracks up and down the creek.

The lack (or almost lack of) wind made photographing easier. I took the 4x5 (Gowland PocketView w/ Caltar IIN 150/5.6). I hand-carried the camera/lens on the tripod (old Gitzo Reporter Perfomance). The 11 film holders loaded up with Tech Pan, and the other stuff were in the pack. Having the camera on the tripod meant I could quickly set up a shot while hiking. Film etc were at the top of my backpack, ready if I wanted it. Once in camp I had a shoulder bag for film and meter. I came home with two holders unexposed...mornings are slow when it is below freezing!

I metered the Tech Pan at ASA 16, and at the f/stop I used a lot on this trip (f/32), exposure times were anything from a minute to 30 minutes, depending if I was deep in the redwoods or on the gravel beds of Redwood Creek. I would toss in another stop or so of exposure to the already generous exposure times to handle a little of the reciprocity failure -- have no idea what it is for Tech Pan...just going by experience, guesses and luck!

This is a continuation of a project start a couple years ago (Redwood Creek: 4x5 Tech Pan/Carbon Prints). Brought out the 5x7 for a quick backpack along Redwood Creek in September with TMax400, but the 4x5 is so light in comparison!!! Well, as long as I have Tech pan, I'll keep on with the project!

This is a reproduction of my 4x5 carbon print of Dolason Creek, taken on a previous (and much warmer) trip using the 4x5 and Tech Pan.

Polaroid Image 1200 with 7 year old Polaroid film.

Due to the film's age, the prints are almost sepia toned with just a hint of color. Sometimes part of the image is missing - showing a bronzed area. Still, I've got a few good shots.

I've got one more old box to go (10 shots), then I've got new Impossible 1200 film to use.

Hapo 66-E - forgot how to unlock the double exposure preventor. Messed up 3 shots trying to figure it out
Keiv 4a - Spindle to wind film loose. Can't advance the film.
Olympus FT - wind mechanism not always releasing shutter to fire after advancing to next frame. FINALLY got that one to work ok so I could shoot some pictures at lunch.
I wanted to shoot in medium format at lunch today and ended up only being able to shoot a half frame 35mm

Smena Symbol, expired Fujifilm C200, not developed yet. I wanted to change film but had two frames left, so I put some objects on my desk, used the desk light to provide some light and shot from two different angles.
