I've been looking today at Peter Gowlans work on his website http://www.petergowland.com/ I used to admire his pin-up work when I was a teenager way back in the fiftys, I didn't realize he was still alive, but he is and is still working at ninety three!, he is one of the greats.

The World's finest Photography Of Women? Published in the late 80's. I have about 9 issues. Each issue would have the likes of Ralph Gibson, Antonin Kratochvil, Deborah Turbeville, Frank Horvat,Dominique Issermann, Helmut Newton and on and on. What a great magazine.

I think I remeber seeing advertisements for it in other publications, perhaps Camera and Darkroom. Never did subscribe.

Sally Mann has been working on a new project called "Proud Flesh". The Conscientious web site has an essay by Mann about the project, images and links to the gallery currently showing the work.

These appear to be a continuation of her collodion work. Very good stuff IMHO.
