Very poor example. I'm sure the cameras they took to the moon were very well packed for take off. How many rolls did they put through each camera? A few dozen maybe? Whilst on the moon, low gravity would mean if they were dropped they wouldn't hit the powdery surface very hard. I recall stories about how the dust got into everything but really, a camera that only had a few rolls put through wouldn't have time to get clogged with dust. Nope, if I was going on a 6 month Himalaya hike the MF camera I would take would be a P67, no question.

Well since it is unlikely that I will ever photograph on the Moon, the were never be a need for me to use or own a P67.

My Rule-of-Three for user film cameras of all kinds:

Use one sample, have a 2nd sample at reach as immediate substitute and a 3rd sample on reserve for spares.
Yahoo!! at last; a reason to buy more camera's and supported by a Rule too  I'll inform my wife & heirs.

My rule is theoretic.
It does NOT apply to real worlds with wifes, girl-friends, mothers etc.

About once a month my wife makes cookies for one of the last surviving Apollo team, who was a patient of hers. Like the others he was a test pilot first, then became an aeronautical engineer, then entered the astronaut program. Although he was an alternate who never went on one of the actual moon missions himself, he was directly involved in designing both the guidance systems and in training other astronauts relative to design specifics. He claims each Apollo craft was specifically tweaked to be ideal for the specific members on it, and they respectively trained on an exactly matching model of craft. I've discussed the cameras a bit with him, but he is a lot more interested in other things. Anyway, those missions were a long time ago, and even the famous shot of Earthrise was a bracketed guess in terms of exposure. We might as well be talking about who allegedly made the best horse buggy in the 1860's.

He must be 97 now, with a modest appetite. His current health is good enough to still be living by himself in his home, though he had quite a health scare a decade ago. When his girlfriend was in hospice three years back, a larger quantity of cookies would be baked for sake of sharing.
I'm not particularly fond of sugary things, so don't need too many cookies around here.

I can't think of any previously sought after cameras that have become unfashionable enough to fall heavily in price. So my bet is whichever mf slr currently commands the best price when sold 'spares or repair'. Probably a Hassy.

In other words, which species of roadkill goes into the most expensive dogfood?

Anteaters, of course; they have the longest reel capacity of any tongue.
