Took most of a roll of Kodak BW400CN up at Mabry Mill. I saved a few shots to shoot around town on the old buildings. We'll see how it goes. My first C41 BW roll.

Here are a couple from my last Fuji 200 roll:

I developed my first ever 4x5 sheets (TMX). Two sheets in Rodinal 1+50, 12 minutes, agitating every two minutes and other two sheets in HC-110b, 6 minutes agitating every 30 secs. The first pair in Rodinal was about one stop underexposed as I expected it to be and the latter pair looked just a little bit overcooked. I could tweak my agitation a bit, I guess. Both were shot at EI 100 and incident metered. A good start!

I'm shooting is 135 Ektar, the last film I shot was 135 Kodak Ektar, I got the prints back from the lab today and it suddenly struck me how much prints on this film look like prints made from digital cameras, which is probably the reason I prefer Fuji Reala although It's not quite as sharp as fine grained as Ektar, but as a general purpose colour neg film I prefer it.

This is the time of the year when I get ready to switch from 100 speed to 800 speed films. I keep thinking shall I load a roll of 800Z or is it still sunny enough for Reala; and I go for Reala and then it's overcast for a week and I'm shooting at 1/30th.

Digitally scanned lab prints?

That's true Harry they are, but my Fuji Reala and 160 S and 400 H processed at the same pro lab,and they don't have the same digital vibe .

Ektar has a narrow latitude and vibrant colors kind of like slide film and, perhaps you're right, kind of out of this world like digital too I suppose. I do find Reala and Portra are more realistic but I develop and print myself so I can get different effects out of them.

I really like Reala as a general purpose colour neg film Harry because it can produce natural realistic skin tones , yet with strong bright colours it has more punch than Floyd Patterson.

I'm on a konica spree now. I have about 80 rolls left of konica centuria pro now. Impressive film. A bit like reala but less saturated. Shame it's gone.

Only bad thing is the prewash during dev is an almost opaque dark green. Can't be good to mother earth..

I used to love Konica Centuria! A local shop I still visit was Konica until they became a copier company.

I like Reala but it can be hard to get, 'discontinued' at times even in 120.

ObFilm: shot a roll of Rollei retro 400S. Still having trouble getting shadow detail @400, even 10:00 @23C HC-110 1+31. Shot in the Canon EOS 10S with 24-70mm f/2.8.

Just shot some E100VS for the first time. Waiting for the development. I have 4 images ready for Ilfochromage, so hoping to get two more out of this trip.

....one day!

Addox CHS Art 25 both 120 and 35mm. Can be tricky to work with but yeilds beautiful results with super fine grain. Sometimes I shoot Legacy Pro 400 when I want an image with more grain.

That's true Harry, 135 Reala is officially discontinued in the U.K according to Fuji U.K, they say they aren't selling enough of it to justify importing it, but there is still plenty of it about from on line retailers so I've bought a load and put it in my deep-freeze, 120 Reala is still available and plenty full.
120 Reala is available and plentiful

Shot a few rolls of Kodak UC 400 that was expired but refrigerated. Turned out pretty well. I like the colors but the contrast may be a tad soft here or there.

Used it for some wedding pics (not as official photog, as brother, so more casual, less pressure) and they turned out okay even if the lighting wasn't the best. Took it on some hikes too.

Me at the top of Gray's peak. Photoshopped just to tweak the color levels a bit, but scanner scrap at the top edge. Taken with UC 400, auto exposure settings on Canon AE-1P.

I put several rolls of E100G and E100VS (seven rolls in total) along with two rolls of PanF Plus through the Blads last weekend in Jasper National Park (watched the sun rise at Cavell Glacier) before the skies opened up and the weather crapped out. Another weekend trip or two (weather dependent - the rainy season will start here shortly) and I will have accumulated enough E6 to warrant a FedEx to Dwayne's for processing.
