Those small images don't do the large format pictures justice I'm sure but thanks for posting them. Always great to see Fifi and the Belle. I love to capture them on film though the dark paint schemes in bright sun are always a challenge.

Those are some amazing images from the airshow. The fourth shot is definitely my favorite. The contrasts of the plane, the flag, sky, and cloud all work beautifully.

Most recently I've been shooting some ancient Plus-X Pan that's been in my freezer for decades. Still have about 10 rolls left. It does a good job. I add about 1/2 minute to the developing time and that seems to work great with it.

Both of the following images were shot with an early Nikon F with non-TTL Photomic finder and 50mm f/1.4 AI lens.

But I have a thing for shooting expired film, very expired in cameras of the same vintage, of buildings made at the same time as the film and camera. Silly I know...

there is nothing wrong with shooting expired film, nothing at all ...
it helped the manufacturers when the film was bought
and keeps it out of the landfill.
i just was gifted 3 boxes of cn400 ...
and i plan on shooting it

I don't think so. Waste not, want not. Hey, I wonder how much money Kodak saved by putting an expiry date on its "lifetime" mailers, knowing full well that by doing so, there would be a lot that would go unused? Or by discontinuing the chemicals for Kodachrome, which meant that there was a lot more unexposed/undeveloped Kodachrome out there than could ever be developed?

Far as I'm concerned, Kodak owes the consumer, not the other way around.

Now if the film's Fuji or Ilford, well . . . a few here or there won't hurt.

I am shooting the new Portra 400 (135) recently and it is really an amazingly fine grained film for the speed. It is true 400 speed and it has a very good color rendition. Excellent film.

Ah, different cultures! In the US and GB, Germany, Sweden etc. people mumble a lot about how ethical their behaviour is: should I drink tea and starve coffee growers or should I drink coffee and starve tea workers? Should I use my car less and help the environment, or should I use the car more and help my local economy (gas station, mechanic, tyre fitter...).
Should I sleep on an old mattress and diminish landfill occupation or should I switch to an all natural and anti-acari new one and help this important industry? And by the way, aren't acari God's creatures? Why all this hostility toward them? Isn't all which lives worth of respect?

Oh, my God! Too many clouds on certain skies, I guess. Probably the result of "protestant" education. You have no idea how funny those thoughts appear down on the Mediterranean sea.

Men, do shoot expired film. You'll help chemical producers. Environment will thank you. Being socially responsible is fine. Being socially zealot is detrimental to your mental well-being! Don't over-reason over it. Don't analyse every storm a butterfly's flight can cause...
