What films did you shoot most recently?

Just some Fuji FP-3000B SS shots, haven't had any time to shoot this week really with work being so busy. Have Superia 800, Potra 160NC and PanF+ all loaded and lots more in the bags ready to go but the weather has been lousy so I haven't even wanted to play hooky.

Got some Ektar 125 off ebay that arrived today, I have a test roll in the camera now and the rest is frozen. I was pretty excited because I loved this film the last time I shot it like 25 years ago, I hope this batch was actually kept frozen like the seller said it was.

Interesting that they've re-used that name just in the past few years. I believe the Ektar 100 (touted as the world's finest grain film, right on the box) was just created and released in 2007 or so.

Have you tried the new one? What's the difference?


(P.S. How can something be 120 ISO? Bit of an odd number, eh?)

Finished the pack of FP-3000B SS, put a pack of FP-100C in to test out some Kodak Portra 160 NC 120shots before committing them to roll film which I also finished off. Ilford Delta 100 120 and Ilford PanF+ 135-36 also finished off. Will probably shoot another roll of 100 120 later today and hope to soup all this stuff tonight or tomorrow...

Fred Picker always advocated setting your own ISO ASA rating based on testing with your meter and camera, my own sekonic digital spot meter reads zone V not VI

I should also say one often has to tune the ISO for speed loss with very old film and manufacturers will also fine tune in certain applications.

I've been hopelessly hooked on the new Portra 400 in 120 and been finishing up my Tmax 400 in 8x10. Tmax is great stuff, but silver prices are making it a little too rich for my blood. >__<

Been doing a fair bit of night urbex (and avail-light portraits) lately, so have been learning to love me some TMY2. I think I like the D-76 tonality better but get much more shadow detail with xtol. Rodinal is even more beautiful at a distance but oh so very grainy.

Solved my IR820 woes (yay xtol) so there will be more of that, plus I got some CHS25 (I loved KB-25 in 135 so I'm hoping it's as nice in 120), CHS50 and Fomapan 200 to try out.

Oh yeah, and 400TX and TMX, but mostly just so I know what they look like.

I may have incipient film-schizophrenia and that's without even getting into the colour...

Some Acros disguised as Legacy Pro. Could not pass up Freestyle's sale for $2 a roll for 36 exposures of this wonderful stuff. I normally reserve it for long exposures, but at $2 a roll........

Plus-X 125
Velvia 50
Provia 100

I am thinking to shoot my daughters indoor so i can have 3 colors films to send to the lab instead of two, but don't know which film to use, Pro 400H? or Porta 160NC, or Pro 800Z???

For daughters, plural, I would shoot the 400 with a flash to get greater depth of field with bounced flash. With 100 speed film you'll be shooting at f/4 or f/5.6 to bounce which probably won't get more than one child in focus at the same time. Using natural light I'd shoot the 800.

I hope that 400 film will be enough with light, i will measure the light before to see, as you said, shooting at f4-5.6 may not resulting good enough DoF, they move a lot and maybe i miss one to another at those f-stops.

I went out with my father yesterday to shoot a roll of Ferrania Solaris FG Plus 100 135/12. The purpose of the shoot was to test a Voigtlaender Vito C bought by my brother for my father on eBay.

This past weekend I ran 2 rolls of Adox CHS 50 and one bulk loaded Fomapan 400 through my Canon F1 and a roll of Rollei Retro 127 through a Nagel Vollenda. This week, weather permitting, I hope to shoot some Berrger 200 8x10.
