HP5 Plus (35mm) hand rolled. Took some photos of ducks and ducklings (wife's new hobby), and of some other birds that are visiting the garden for nesting and for colourfull fruits.

I shot a roll of Walmart clearance special($8 4 pack) Fuji Superia X-Tra 800 at the zoo(dreary, overcast day) testing out another of my grandfather's old lenses, a Soligor 1:4.5 75-260mm Auto Zoom. My daughter had the genius idea to pull up on the rewind lever on the way home springing the door open a bit in the ever ready case. I have enough color rolls now to give color processing a try.

Shot and developed about 15 sheets of Arista EDU ISO 400 4x5 sheet film. I had some issues with uneven development I'll know how to correct next time, but overall I'm satisfied with the results. I used my Graflex handheld at 1/400 f/16 and didn't have a blurry shot. The film's a bit on the grainy side (not that you can see the grain except with a loupe), so I might try the 100 speed next time and see if that improves things, as long as I can continue using it handheld.

Finished a roll of Ektar 100 in the F. Currently working on a couple rolls of Superia 400 (one current roll in the F2AS, one very expired roll in the F5 - like August 2007), a roll of Tri-X set to 250 in the FM2n, and a roll of Tri-X set at box speed in the F3P. F is currently empty. Probably going to feed it some more Ektar this weekend.

A 120 roll of FP4+ in the Rolleicord Vb. I intended to use it as a test film for my first attempt at reversal processing, but yesterday realised I may have taken a few shots that I wouldn't want to lose. Now having a dilemma whether or not to risk it.

I also have a half used roll of 'Poundland' AGFA Vista 200 in the Minolta X500. I'm really enjoying using that camera. I think because it's so different to anything else I have, with it's built in meter and small size. Hoping the shots come out as well as they felt when I took them.

I shot some rolls of this recently too and am curious to see the results. I am hoping for some lower contrast and maybe also finer grain compared to Gold 200. Have you used this film before?

Okay, great to hear you like it. It's not available here locally, I ordered mine from Thailand, with shipping and everything the price boils down to something like 4.50 Euros a roll, which is a good bit more expensive than Gold here (2.50~3.50 a roll), but still much less than Portra or Ektar.

Shot 4 and a third rolls of 120 400TX yesterday (hate when it doesn't work out to finish a roll!). When the darkroom temperature stabilizes, we'll see what we got! This was at the Strasburg Railroad and the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum across the road, a hastily planned meet with some friends, and mostly other technology, but we did exercise the Yashica 124g.

Just tested some Kodak HIE 135 that expired in 1996. Base plus fog density runs about 0.5 and the IR sensitising has faded somewhat. Behind a #25 red filter for sunny day exposures the EI is about 0.25. Could be interesting?

A test roll of Adox CMS II 20 in my Zero Image 6x9 pinhole. It specified ISO20 for a reasonably bright day, so I cheerfully gave it EI25. The significance of using this ultra-sharp film in a pinhole is not known at this stage until 2 more frames are run off to end.

i just undertook a box of the new 55 atomic-x film...the negatives look nice but i have to proof them to really know... did asa 50 and there is plenty of shadow detail
nice to have another film at our disposal..who said film is dead??

The aim should not be to get "really sharp images" from any pinhole of any size with any film, as that negates the whole purpose of the primitive type of camera being used; just let the camera be a pinhole camera and use any film on a whim.

I was given two (120) rolls of CMS II to run through two cameras: either my Hassie 6x6 or (the preferred) Pentax 67 — the 67 shooting with the SMCP f2.8 75mm AL lens @ f5.6. Adox makes an interesting point of going some way to using highly corrected lenses stopped down a couple of clicks to attentuate the film's characteristics. I know from every day use the 75mm knows how to boogie.

I anticipate exposing a roll of CMS II on World Pinhole Day (24th April). It will be developed in Adotech II as per the lab's recommendation for "first test", and any changes will be taken from there after critical viewing. But first just a simple, non-scientific experiment with this film as a comparison to my usual stock of Acros 100. My shoot is expected to take place in a rainforest. God help me if it's overcast, damp and dim. I could be looking at a quite long exposure, all the while fending off leeches and snails...

Two rolls of recently "expired" Tri-X (PB 10/13), rated at EI 200, this afternoon at Granville Island, of the buskers, boats, architectural abstracts, and people enjoying a day of leisure. Lots of fun: I carried only a single M6 with a 50 mm Summilux ASPH. Down to my last four rolls of this iteration; purchased 120 rolls of the emulsion in late 2011. Next up: More Tri-X, this batch (30 rolls) with a PB 11/17 date. And after this lot, it's on to some HP5+ for a bit (20 rolls currently sitting in the back of the refrigerator).
