Hi Bert, I'm seriously thinking of getting one too... will research a little... maybe I can make one.

I did some research myself. I'll PM you my findings later (getting too much OT here).

On my way to work I made a stop at the heather fields, where I saw a heard of sheep yesterday. After wandering around a bit (shooting the scenery) I found them again lying beneath some trees and made some shot with my Mamiya C330f with 55 mm lens (1/25 s @ f11) on Fuji NPC160 (expired 2005). I got real close to them and sat there for a while before the heard got up and started wandering again.
What a great way to start my morning.

A roll of Kodak Ektachrome P1600, in the Holga using the 35mm conversion kit. Going to send it out for C-41 processing and scanning. See if there's ANYTHING at all caught on those frames.

I did that once and it went quite well, surprisingly. Three things I learned:
1) It's not 120 roll film .... so don't go on autopilot ...
2) tape the leader of the film to the take up spool to avoid losing grip mid film.
3) you can't rewind inside the Holga so only open the camera in total darkness and rewind the film manually into the cassette.
(Yes, I did opened the camera the first time in brought daylight ....)

BTW: I wonder if I can use this 35 mm conversion kit in the Holga 120-WPC (pinhole, 6x12 format) as well? Talking about panorama format: a negative of 24 x 120 mm with an aspect ratio of 1:5. And it's Holga so who cares about film flatness??

Hi Bert,

Yes, I've used this 135 kit before, and I like the randomness. This roll I purposely let frames overlap to see what results.
I don't tape the leader, but I make a hard folding of the film, and insert the film around the take-up spool and make sure it 'takes' and wind a few revolutions to make sure it sticks, and so far it's worked fine.
I have not yet opened the camera in daylight, but I'm sure it'll happen some day...

I don't think the kit can be used on the 120-WPC because it's a mask specifically to fit the 6x6 'hole' in the Holga, just like the 6x6 and 645 masks.

This is fun for me as I try to keep my photography alive as I attend school and work full time simultaneously. Using color film and sending it out works fine for the time being.

Have a grand weekend!

Ektar 120 6x6, TMY-2 120 6x9, Tri -X 35mm, HP5 120 6x6. Tri-X 320 8x10 that I got in a deal. I almost had a heart attack when I see what Kodak is asking for 8x10 sheet film these days. I don't shoot much 8x10 . 8 bucks a sheet for Tri-X? Yikes. It sure makes nice contact prints though!
I sure do love film.
Best Regards Mike

Two rolls of Tri-X (EI 200 as is my habit) with my M4 and a 50mm Summicron, late this afternoon/early evening. Into the deep-freeze for the time being.

Finished a part roll of E100G (15 frames), last night, that I had loaded in one of my M6 bodies several days ago.

Loaded up ten 4x5 film holders with Tech Pan and went backpacking for 6 days in the redwoods. Ruined three of the sheets. Mis-read the meter and exposed the first image of the trip at 30 minutes instead of 30 seconds. I forgot to close the lens back down on another, and the third one was another bozo move -- taking out the darkslide to make an exposure, I took out the wrong one (I was doing this from the front of the camera instead of behind. That leaves 17 possible, and if I can get two or three ones worth printing I will be very happy.

Good luck Vaughn, you got all your mistakes out the way early and the path is clear for 17 great exposures now.

Thank you. I've been lurking a while, hadn't realised that was my first post.
To answer the thread question for myself - HP5+ in 35mm, developed last night in DD-X, and I've still got a couple of shots left of PanF in 120 sitting in a Hasselblad back, been slow going on that roll, such that it'll be a surprise when I see what's actually on it.

Two rolls of Portra 400 120 (testing out an Agfa Clack)
One roll of Superia 400 135-24 (testing out 35mm back for a Diana)
One roll of HP5+ 120 for a group shot with the Hasselblad.
Fun fun fun!!

Mamiya RB67-Pro camera with 50 mm lens ~ testing the camera and film back with Fuji NPC 160 (expired 2005) and T-Max 100 (expired 2004).
Camera and lens are working great. The film back might need new light seals and CLA for uneven spacings??
We'll see ....

A roll and a bit (nine frames on the second) of Tri-X (EI 200) with a Soveried F2AS, alternating between a 28 F2, a 50 F1.4 and a 105 F1.8, yesterday afternoon at Barnet Marine Park. My F5 and F3P are loaded with E100G/VS, and one of my M6s is loaded with Tri-X for tomorrow's Canada Day celebrations downtown.

Three rolls of E100G in my F5, a roll and a bit of E100VS in my F3P, and two rolls (less seven frames) in my M6 on Canada Day.
