You've GOT to be kidding me with this shit. A. PLASTIC. DOT.

https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1700552
Well, it IS hand-painted........in Germany.
Maybe make a "Leico" dot and sell it for 50.? :whistling:

Reminds of that episode of All In The Family -----
Went something like this..................Archie got a SUPER Good Deal on an "Omega" watch for only 50 bux. The son in-law points out that the watch must be stolen, because it is a 700 dollar watch.
Archie says that is not his concern. They guy was selling and he was buying. What was Archie supposed to do..........bargain up.?

After a week or so, the watch starts to have a problem, so Archie takes the watch in for repair.
The repair guy gets back to Archie and says it will be 45 dollars to fix the watch and hands it back to Archie.
Archie says "Keep it. Go ahead and fix it".

The guy asks, are you sure.?
The watch is only worth 5 or 10 bux

Archie says what do you mean, this is an Omega Watch..worth a lot of money.

The watch guy says . "No Mr Bunker. What you have there is an Onega....with an "N"...........not an "M".:D

Bellamy caters to a niche crowd, and thus, his prices are ridiculously, obnoxiously over inflated.
I have a different interpretation. His prices are a bit high, but he sells some unusual items, like the titanium Nikon cameras. Also, he says all of them have been cleaned and adjusted, so if you buy one, the item should work properly. So no, his prices aren't out of line. If you're not the customer for his merchandise, then the prices do not apply to you. I have seen more egregious examples of overpricing from US merchants, often on really stupid things.

What you've just described..... is a niche crowd. Those who look for those unusual items and don't mind paying for them.

And another thing!...
I often see used gear more expensive on B&S boards than what I can buy from B&H, Camerawest etc.
Not always but it pays to check.

What I don't get is how's Bessa is getting flak, while Zeiss Icon ZM is generally praised. Based on my research online, they're made in the same factory using the same parts bin.

hold on now I like that camera. I’m triggered!

I find taped up Leicas very funny. The shooter doesn't want you to know he's using a Leica, even though he does. But claims he doesn't. An M3 or M4 doesn't have any logos. But anyone who knows cameras would know what it is even though they don't have logos.
So taping up cameras is aimed at the tiny subset of the population who would know what the camera is anyway...

Wait, did I go off topic?

I'll pay $80 for a red dot for my M3, and then buy a $100 black dot to cover it up, and then a buck for some tape to cover the black dot. :D

Dear sweet baby Jesus. Seriously?

No, you make a battery with a potato, you take pictures with a camera.

I thought you made vodka with potatos?

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... before the speculators got a whiff of new money and Fuji Pro 400H wasn't discontinued...

Both are still in active rotation. P3200 in the FT2 and svema super positive in the FM2N. The FT2's meter is jank but hey.
