Caring for my late wife, and now trying to bring several projects to completion, I have neglected my pedal harp for a very long time. The last time I looked, about 6 months ago, a lot of broken strings. Afraid to look under its cover. By now, will probably have to replace almost all strings. Well, there goes the money for a new Zeiss lens.
My 6 1/2 year grandson is a big Star Wars fan. He enjoys orchestral performances of SW music. Not to mention LEGO SW kits. Also a fan of Good, Bad, and Ugly. He has memorized whole chunks of Clint Eastwood dialogue, and with a mix of Mommy’s and Daddy’s old clothes, has created a facsimile of Eastwood’s outfit, and walks around the house reciting lines from the movie. I can’t remember. Where I put the daily paper.
I forgot to mention one important rule to keeping active in one’s later years: Don’t hang around old people. Their very air is poison. When I was younger, I enjoyed the company of older people. Now I prefer company of young people. Perhaps that is the way it’s supposed to be.
