I am lusting after some more lenses for Mamiya Press and Mamiya C.

I recently discovered the joys of shooting with Canon FD equipment (brings me back to days when I was learning photography I suppose). So, as of last night, I am officially lusting after an F-1N AE, big time. I will get one, oh yes I will.

It's taken me a few years...

to get out of my Nikon and Graflex systems. Why? I lusted even more retro cameras and better build quality. I've finished up with a MF system of a Hasselblad and ancient Rolleiflex Standard. I still shoot 35mm also, with a couple of screw mount Leicas.

I'm pretty sure I'm done with the lust thing. The family did an outing yesterday to a museum and a market. The LTMs went along and provided a big grin all day! I thought that grin was big, but today's was bigger after running the film!

Yep....I'm set for now. Don't even want more glass.

I'd like a Wehman 8x10. My B&J 8x10 monorail doesn't really fit into a backpack.

*Sigh* I'm on this list for this year's production run. Let's hope I still have a job after this month!

I agree with you. I want a panoramic 35mm so very much...although I don't know why. A 6x17 back is probably a better idea...

An Xpan offers some pretty nice features, portability and quickness among them. The fact you can shoot either pano or regular 24x36 with it - on the same roll - is pretty special, too.

I have one, and absolutely love it. It will never ever ever be found cheap, though.

Nothing special at all. A simple Leica with a 50 mm would do. Anyone having a spare lying around?
And why not a Kiev 60, now as we are already discussing this?

I'd like to trade my Crown(s) for a Speed, to take advantage of the built-in shutter -- I'd like to shoot with Petzval lenses in the future and this seems a pretty simple way to go about it.

Alternatively, I'd love to learn wetplate collodion, so I guess a Century-style 8x10 camera and accessories.

I second the 8x10 for wetplate (and albumin and kallitype and all sorts of fun stuff)

I love my speed graphic, best camera purchase I ever made.

Ok, I confess. I didn't think I would want anything else after the Deardorff... but that clamshell Fuji 645 looks pretty darn nice. Like a totally updated Super Ikonta A.

hmmm... anyone got one they are selling cheep?

I'm going to be a really good greedy teen and publish my real list, as of a few days ago.
*this is not in actual order*
1) Pentax 67
2) Hasselblad H2
3) Fotoman 617
4) Rolleiflex 2.8
5) Leica M7
6) Leica R9
7) Canon T90
8) Canon AE-1
9) Pentax K1000
10) Speed Graphic
11) A really pricy Canon EOS camera with a mechanical sprocket counter

Nikon F6.

1. Because of I always wanted one.

2. Add to my F4 and F5.

pentax MX, because it's a small mechanical camera in K mount so it could be happy with my K lenses.

A 5x7 Canham with reducing backs and a Cooke Triple Convertible lens.

Make that an 8x10 because I've always wanted one with a Cooke TC.

I want another Nikon FG like the one I had, but broke. I know you don't believe that's one to desire, but I liked the metering system in it. I've had 2, and when I have some extra money to spend I want another.

Luckily, a good FG is pretty affordable. I usually don't see them going for more than $90, for a nice black body, or $80 for a nice chrome body.

In my case, I think I've the bodies I've "lusted" over. One of which, was a body that I owned in 2007, then sold, when I wanted a decent F2A. Now have both the F2A and my old F4 (now in the desirable base configuration, instead of the F4s configuration).

Mainly, the things I lust for now are glass, and parts to fix up the bodies I do have, as well as to have some of my bodies worked on. Both my F3P and my FT2 are in the shop, getting repairs done to them. My F needs a black nameplate that's compatible with the FTn finder - currently has a chrome one (it'd also be nice to have a black eyelevel prism for it with round eyepiece), my FM2n needs a better top cover, due to the threads on the eyepiece ring being a little chewed up, causing binding issues when I install diopters. It'd also be nice to have a MD-2/MB-1 combo and a DP-12 finder for said F2A, and to have a better top cover for the FTn, since it has a few dents on it. Nothing that's a functionality issue, but just would be nice not to have it looking like it spent time in the clothes dryer. Also eventually want an F36 motor drive for the F, with the cordless pack.

Lens-wise:

50f1.4 AI, 105f2.8 Micro AIS (or AF, don't really care, but not the VR version), either a 180f2.8 or a 200f4, and, I'd *love* a 400f3.5 EDIF.

A NIce Rolleiflex TLR from the fifty's Thats all :

the chamonix whole plate will whitaker is selling in the classifieds. dream camera.

There are twelve pages here so I am assuming Fuji 667/Voightlander Bessa III has been mentioned about two dozen times and I just want to give another vote for it.

A Canon F1n or a Pentax LX and some fast wide angle, standard and portrait glass. Recently acquired a nice OM2n with 50mm/f1.4 and 24mm/f2.8. This is nice for portability and the meter is awesome. However, I've wanted the Canon from the day it came out but could never afford one. The Pentax is an unknown quantity to me. I've seen one but I've heard lots of very good reports on them.

I'm saving up so I can afford some lust. For now I'm shooting with cameras and film on hand. I have enough of both to keep me happy and busy for a while.

Lee

This is another good answer and one that I suspect many of us should strive to do, myself included.

Funny, after that GW690 my wife gave me, my lust for cameras stopped, now I'm upgrading my darkroom equipment.

I just bought one Stopclock and a paperflasher from Richard at RH Designs!
Next? Zone Master II to go with it:D

Cheers

A Mamiya 6 (new version). That is all.

I can't get away from 6x6. My Contax G1 is a lovely 35mm RF, but I cry just a little inside whenever I leave 6x6. My Mamiya C33 and Bronica SQ-A are a little obvious for me when walking around the city to and from work and running errands. I like to put them on tripods and that makes carrying groceries or cases of beer a little awkward.

Maybe this year.

I notice a nice Super Ikonta drifting through my consciousness periodically; I'm on the verge of getting serious, but if I have the scratch I'll probably be forcing a Bessa III into my Christmas stocking late this year.

Good heavens, I'm thinking about Christmas ALREADY?!? :surprised:
