There you go Frank, you have been introduced to what passes for a bloodbath flame-war here on APUG.
Someone pipes up and demands that this site must be both digital and analog because they like digital. Others explain that they also shoot digital but this particular site was created specifically as an alternative to to the many, many sites on the web that welcome and encourage digital discussions. The original poster starts squealing that he is being victimized and abused, that everyone here are anti-digital luddite elitists, and then comes up with the brilliantly clever and unique (Oh no, not again  ) notion that because analog photos have to be digitized in order to be posted in the gallery, APUG is therefore duty-bound to accept Photoshopped digital creations of every kind.

It pretty much happens every week or two. Trolling is the unfortunate annoying background noise of even the best sites. You'll soon get sick of it. Learning to use use the recently implemented "Ignore Thread" can improve the APUG experience dramatically.

Welcome. This is a great community to discuss film photography and darkroom.

Once more Mr. Harper hijacks a thread and turns it all about himself.
Sure everyone has opinions and views but I am sure nobody is interested in
re-reading for the Nnth time Mr. Harper's opinions which almost feel like cut&paste
from other threads.
It's all about your ego Mr. Harper, isn't? You just don't get it, it seems.
Maybe we should form a special category so you can recycle your posts.
We all know what you have said many times over, you don't need to repeat yourself ad nauseum at the very slightest opportunity.
At the last thread I was involved in, I just told you what you wanted to hear, in hopes it would end early such dullness.

Get the hint. Deflate your ego. You stated your opinions once, that is fine. Learn when to stop.

I made friends here, have enjoyed myself and advanced greatly by the support of this very fine community.
Anything you want or need, just ask.

That pretty much sums it up as far as I'm concerned. My first and last venture into participating in what could have been a civil discussion about the limits of the use of digital on this site ended when the thread was trashed by extremists on both sides.

Sounds kind of like the world we live in eh?

This is a great resource for photographers and for the most part the folks here are as nice and helpful as any I've met (virtually) anywhere.

cheers

"You stated your opinions once"

Yes Arigram I have, and I will again. However I won't, as I have done here, and already apologised for, be the one who brings the topic up. It's the first time I've done it, I won't do it again.

"At the last thread I was involved in, I just told you what you wanted to hear, in hopes it would end early such dullness."

How very honerable of you. And yes the non-sense quickly stopped.

I notice Mr Callow has withdrawn some of his posts, so I will withdraw my replies.

I've removed one responding to Mr Callow's comments but the system will not allow me to remove the other, yesterday 08.47PM.
