It could happen. Might try some dilute/uberlong developing. I'll bet if you shoot it flat you won't get much. Might be perfect 'High In The Sky' film. Never know.

I think it might be more valuable as a collectible.

I'd guess that it was manufactured by Ilford - "Fait en Angleterre".

Any chance we could see the other side?

Funny, no indication of ISO rating. Fine grain says maybe it's a 125 or lower, which has a better than average chance of surviving the ravages of time.
