Already gave it a tweak, thanks! Of course now I just noticed that the foam light seal on the door hinge/camera back area has fallen apart. I'll have to put a fresh strip there.
Same with my unit, and it's a mkIII. Thinking of it, I don't know if there is any way to date the age of the camera. I know there is the s/n but don't know of any database matching manufacturing date... So it could be a 1992 or a 2004 model.
I'll have to see where to get a small strip of right foam. Mine is soft and going, but no leaks so far.

I found a way to make a Texas Leica even more conspicuous: Add a Speedlite! I traded in a 35mm P&S for a Canon 430 speedlite which sadly does not have an auto mode thyristor that'd make fill flash simple.
