Much better in Firefox than IE7.

APUG logo at top: maybe add link to Home (like the last one). A small touch, and common enough.
Very, very slow loading in Internet Explorer 8 (the worse browser ever to come out, I reckon). Fine in Opera 11. Beautiful and snappy in FireFox 3.6.8 (as with other forums I visit). Usability in Safari on iPhone is my biggest accolade.

Great Work!!, Sean.

One problem..
I'm TRYING to pay my dues here. Using the "alternative methods of payment" selection, all I get is an error message - and a couple of lines of code.

Trying "Paypal", which I would rather NOT use, I get the message: "Improper Currency Selection" and am then kicked out.

I'm sure you would like to receive my contribution - but HOW?? do I do that?

Thanks Ed! Can you get here? Dead Link Removed

You may need to setup an account there, it will not be your APUG login..

Ed:

I had a similar problem when I tried to renew last time (using Paypal). When you choose a subscription option, you need to click on the arrow beside the little window and then highlight the price before you click on Order.

That DOES, and did, work, using MasterCard!

I would suggest integration into the obvious "slot", though, lest anyone become frustrated and abandon ship.

You should see it from the admin perspective. There is some very cool stuff going on behind the scenes. People can get touchy about major site upgrades but they have to understand admins and moderators behind the scenes benefit greatly from such upgrades. Anything to help us run the site better is a a must imo.

there's a problem with searching in the classifieds. seems when you do a search there it always searches entire APUG, including the galleries, for some odd reason. so if you're looking for a particular camera for sale you will find the results of your search will include regular forum posts, and galleries.

[added after the fact]: No longer can you edit the classified ad as well. I think the edit post link is missing is all. I don't see how not being able to edit your classified ad is better than before  hehe

Thanks for making the portfolios working again.

Now that I use the new APUG the first time on a big monitor everything looks much better.

Cheers

Thanks for all your work. I have not been around for a week or so and didn't know about the upgrade going on. Looks great!

Thanks for bringing "My posts" back. However the list is now rather long as there are many details (parts of the threads) and I do not see the difference between threads where have been some activity since my last visit and where not. Honestly speaking I find the previous version of "my posts" more usable ....

I should be able to revert it back to the old way. Will look into it soon. Thanks

This is still in the works. Anything not as good in this version of APUG can be corrected or improved, it's just a matter of getting through the requests and sorting the issues out. Another volley of bug fixes is going in today as well.

is there a way to get to someone's "portfolio"
without searching through all 14+ pages of them ?
( not knowing real names, or what order they are in makes it hard  )
is it possible to add a link on the user's profile page?
