Woke up to 60F -- a warm wind, too. That adds up to rain coming -- they are suggesting a couple of inches over the next 24 hrs.

8C, blank gray skies (but I do see intermittent cloud detail), and a light drizzle. A great day to either catch up on the processing of some of my black and white film backlog, or maybe just pick a book off the shelf, make a pot of Earl Grey, and head to the Lay-Z-Boy...

3 inches of rain since Thursday night and still coming down. The Pineapple Express is hitting the Pacific Northwest hard right now. I’ll be scanning some old slides indoors.

Our local weather people have been referring to the current very wet weather by a number of interesting terms, but I think my favourite is "Atmospheric River".

It's not a river if there's no fish in it.:D But then there's no pineapples in it either.

Up here (in cold country Canada) our pine trees do not 'produce' apples... 8-(

They say -33 with the wind but it feels more like -40 where I am. Had to go inside to warm up a wee bit, 500ft against the wind and I felt unwell. Never happened to me before.
Yes its been hovering around just above 30c here most days, cooling down this week to the high 20's.....Oh you mean minus 30!! is that even possible? Even the freezer doesnt go much below -5. Id die, the warmest thing is a woolen jumper that gets warn about twice a year.

Our spring like weather has turned to rain, snow in the mountains, looks like next 3 or 4 day we will see rain.

frigid for about a week, black ice and snow, then, the following week .. 60F.
i guess the weather where i am is kind of screwy

Dusting of snow and 24°F this morning. Now sunshine. Except for a -20°F shocker in late Oct, it has been a mild winter here.

What's the weather doing where you are? Here in West Cornwall, England it's about 70F and raining quite hard.

Christmas day in S Alberta
Sun shining fit to burn your eyes out... not a cloud to be seen in the sky... -6 deg. C... not a breath of wind...a little 'left-over' snow (but only in the occasional 'snow bank' (created by the west wind) but the side-walks and park pathways are 'safe' for pedestrians while taking our dog (a ten year-old Weimaraner who answers (sometimes) to the name of "Gir")... for his 40 minute walk down and around the coulee (a river 'valley' that physically 'divides' the city to an east/west 'relationship'.

Great snow in Mammoth. My 51th year of skiing.
