Rain and foggy up on the mountain for most of the past two days. How rainy and foggy? Took out one of the M6s -loaded with Tmax 3200 -and decided to go out for some fresh air and maybe photograph some weather early this afternoon. Exposures (at EI 800) were 1/250 @ F4, +/- half a stop. I got wet, the camera got a little wet, but I think I got enough interesting photographs to make the effort worthwhile. Currently 10C...

Rain and more rain. I really should start tackling the backlog of unprocessed black and white sitting in my freezer, as has been my usual habit when monsoon season starts, but I do have another 14 rolls of expired TMax 3200 I should use up, so that I have an excuse to grab some fresh Delta.

Not too bad in the Seattle area today, but going to be wet again this weekend.

Seems Mother Nature decided to move the blob of warm air over the midwest and start doing a La Niña over the PacNW. Last time it was like this, was back in 2012. Rained pretty much every *single* day from October 12th until after Xmas.

Same weather, a few hours north of John; the forecast, however, calls for a couple of sunny days early next week. In the meantime, an F2 (w/50mm) is loaded with some outdated TMax 3200. At the present rate, I should have my TMax stash exhausted by early spring...

mowed the lawn this afternoon which is unheard of in December. It's not particularly warm but it just isn't as cold as normal for this time of year. 3 or 4 years back we had snow and ice for the whole of December and this year we've hardly had a frost. Snow is a rarity here being on the coast with the gulf stream coming straight at us.

20 years ago little egrets were very rare where I live. Now you see them every time you goto the estuary for a walk.

Windy again. Rainy again. Power out again.

It's so dark outside I could load film for developing in my front yard. Ahhh, life in the Pacific Northwest...

Sitting here reading by laptop battery until the Comcast node battery on the power pole down the road fails. This laptop will do 6+ hours easy. The node only an hour or so. Then it's off to bed as my existence on Earth winks out. Last recent outage was 11 hours.

Better be fixed by 10am tomorrow morning for the Seahawks game.

[Edit: I just noticed the NWS has also put us under a landslide advisory as well. Great...]

More rain this afternoon, following a very overcast morning. The same expected until Friday. So...looks like I'll be drawing down my stash of expired TMax 3200 (currently 11 rolls remaining).

Kind of have Southern Oregon weather here now, cold, cloudy, overcast grey sky, and a little drizzle. A good time for cabin fever.

Currently a very light snow falling atop Burnaby Mountain; more is forecast for later today, as well as later this week . Fingers are crossed that it continues (F5 is loaded with TMax3200, F3HP has Tri_x and the F6 has E100G)...

Snowed all night here on the mountain (something I had seriously wished for...lol); temperature is currently at 1C, according to the thermometer on my patio. I may set aside the 35s, and bring out a Hasselblad, and wander over to the university to shoot some architecture (I've got 3 A12s loaded with PanF+, at the ready).

The "downside," though, may be the matter of getting off the mountain later in the day if the snow continues (My Beemer has performance rubber - so that's a no - and my Honda has "all seasons" (lol); reading the Globe and Mail up in my study this am, I could see out the window of my second story study that more than a few folks were having issues navigating through the white stuff.

If I recall, you've needed the rain rather badly. 'Downside is it usually comes all at once there.

'Been the wettest month on record so far. Power down for 18 hrs, web down longer. 2" heavy wet snow fell last night (hope the shot turns out).

'Supposed to be dry for Christmas day.

Record-breaking warm temperature, +15C. At this time of year, -15 would be more expected For Toronto. Local ski resorts have no snow, neither natural or man-made. They're hurting because business over the holidays is usually heavy, what with Christmas ski equipment presents and time off work.

about 70ºF for 2 days now, been unseasonably warm for all of december
trees and flowers blossoming that are supposed to be dormant,
it was like this last year too, warm until the new year, then lots of snow.

It has been cold here. Have to wear a sweater until 11 AM! We are suffering from the cold.
