15C atop the mountain, under cloudy, lifeless skies. Maybe a walk around the neighborhood to finish off the last 14 frames of a roll of HP5+ I have loaded in the Nikon...

The rains have caused some typically arid spots on the island of O'ahu to green up, but the haze isn't helping from a photographic perspective.

Plymouth(UK) not too hot today. Broken cloud with an occasional few spots of rain.

Walked past the famous harbour steps where the Mayflower (B Ark :D) set sail to America. In reality it set sail from London but called in at Southampton, Dartmouth, Plymouth and Newlyn. So adjust your history as half the ports on the South coast of England claim it set from their harbour, bait for tourists if you ask me.

Cloudy this evening but as I was walking up the lane home after climbing Loughrigg Fell, the last few rays of sun were shining on the fells across the valley, making them glow dark scarlet.

LOL. I noticed that in my local newsagent a few days ago. They now have products on their shelves with snowflakes on the packaging. The schools only went back for the autumn term last week and the summer holiday season is still in full swing for the pensioners.

We're having an indian summer this week in Devon.

95-100F around here for the past 4 days (higher than usual for longer than usual) and not a drop of needed rain in sight.

Can some of you in the flooded areas pipe some of that water over here, so we can let it percolate into the ground to replenish the water table?!

I hear you're el nino this year is going to be a very strong one, possibly one of the strongest on record whatever that means.

Batten down the hatches, that is what I heard too. Unfortunately it will not completely relieve the drought we are having.

Rain on Wednesday and again on Thursday morning...went off that Thursday morning for a couple nights of backpacking in the redwoods along Redwood Creek (Redwood National Park). Perfect weather...everything cleaned up with the rain and the creek up a couple inches. Times of no wind. Nights stayed semi-clear the first night and clear the second -- great stars!

Before the trip I searched and searched around the house for my 4x5 -- cleverly hidden from myself in my last move (July). Had to take the 5x7 instead, but only could find 5 holders so that is what I went with. Loaded them up with TMax400 and actually came back with 2 sheets unexposed. I went with a friend and he carried my two lenses and light meter for me. I carried the camera on the tripod over my shoulder on the way in, but was able to put the camera in my pack and strap the tripod to my pack on the way out (more room in the pack with the food and beer gone). Pretty steep hike up back to the van, but not too bad for an old man...good to be alive!

4 seasons in two hours. Drove up into the paramo at 3,300 m above sea level on a beautiful sunny morning. At 3,000 meters the temp, dropped to 4 C. An hour later it got foggy and started raining. I turned around heading back and on the road the sky cleared as if nothing had happened.

Cloud cover is a bit heavy at the moment, perhaps an indication of what the weekend holds? Rain for the next three days according to the current forecast; if so, some of my stash of my bargain basement TMax3200 will go out for a spin to check for possible fog (the film is alleged to be vintage 2005...). But the price...lol

I am curious as to how it stacks up against Delta 3200, an impressive film, in my limited experience.
